My heart aches for everyone hurt by the tragedy that occurred in Newtown, CT on Friday. I don’t have any words that would express the sympathy, love and prayers I’m sending to the Sandy Hook Elementary community. Instead, I am taking a moment to pray for them and focus on the people around me today.
When I was a junior in high school one of my close friends died in an accident and his mom chose Somewhere Over the Rainbow as one of the funeral songs (she sang it to him as a baby). I pulled it up to listen to this weekend and it brought me back to that time of sadness, but also reminded me of the love and hope that held us together. My friends really hung on to each other during that time, physically and emotionally. Your people are the most important thing – let them know you love them.
Hug Love Pray. God Bless.
