New Make Up I Had to Have (Right?)

Fitness Fashion· My Life

11 Apr

I just bought ALL THE MAKEUP at Ulta! The last time I was in there they asked if I wanted to sign up for an Urban Decay event and I have no life so I said ‘YES!’. So check out my new Make-Up Must Haves below!

But first let’s talk Eating and Running and Blogging and all that fun stuff…

EAT

Last night I went out to dinner at a new Thai place. It was gggreat!

Why is Thai Tea so magical? (Probably because of all the sugar in it…)

These are some Taro Birds Nest things. I love Taro. It’s actually my favorite fro-yo flavor at Yogurtland!

After dinner I decided to call it an early night and go home to bake cookies for my damn self. This would be sad except it’s also delicious…

RUN

This morning I went for a little run and around three miles out I saw the woman, the legend… SkinnyRunner herself running toward me! We chatted for a few minutes and then continued on…

And a few minutes later I RAN into Emily from Daily Garnish! She’s in town for a family event and I knew she was going to be, but I didn’t think we’d just randomly run into each other like that. SO WEIRD two back to back friend spottings!

I did 12 miles and then went home to eat and shower and avoid eye contact with my foam roller. I jumped on it for a few minutes, but really need some quality time with ol’ Foamy later.

I had an appointment at Ulta!

Makeup

Last week I randomly made an appointment to get my eyebrows dyed because they are so super light blonde and wanted to give it a whirl.

When I was at Ulta they signed me up for a free make-up session with an Urban Decay make-up artist. There was some free event to get makeup tips from a pro and I was all about it.

Kristen was my make-up artist and asked what I wanted. I need a day time look and I also just wanted to see what she recommended. It can be hard for me to find makeup that works for me since I have light skin and red hair but brown eyes.

She started with my eyes and used the UB Naked Palette. It comes in Urban Decay Naked 2 and Urban Decay Naked 3 too.

She did my eye shadow first using 3 of the Naked Palette colors and then used a pencil – NOT liquid – liner. It’s the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eyeliner in Bourbon.

She swears by the Lash Primer and Perversion Mascara. But I’m super picky about mascara (even though the one I buy is super cheap) so I passed on that.

And I think I’ve been doing my makeup wrong this whole time – the last step was my skin. Since I use a BB cream right now she used the Urban Decay Beauty Balm in Light. And for a little powder situation the Naked Skin Powder in Fair.

The grand finale was this NEW to me actual colored lipstick. I never wear ‘real lipstick’ and always keep it to things like glosses or balms.

But Kristen was all about giving my lips some color so I went with it. We used Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Liar. Dig it.

Make-up Before and After!

I also picked up the Good Karma Brush just because I use my fingers to put on my BB cream but liked the way it felt when she used the brush instead. I usually stick to cheap brushes but thought I’d go all out today. Boom.

The Revlon lipstick looks great on you; very natural, but definitely gives your lips some definition. Like you, I am a total taro fan. Love that stuff at Yogurtland and at dim sum.

I love Urban Decay’s eyeliner and got that Naked palette for Christmas. It’s great for everyday or a subtle smoky eye!

Could you talk more about your eyebrow dyeing experience? I’m a fellow redhead with super light eyebrows too…I fill them in almost every day and it’s so annoying/time consuming!

I went for a little 2 mile run because it was so gorgeous outside. Then I did 4 rounds of 2 sled pushes,10 sumo deadlift hight pulls and 10 pull ups. I use to work as a makeup artist and you have the perfect eyes tor shadow. It turned out very pretty. Everytime I go into Ulta there is always a lady with crazy colored hair and way to much makeup on, I’m afraid to have them do my makeup.

A couple week ago I actually went on YouTube to see a makeup tutorial! I always wear urban decay and have so many of their products at home, but don’t know how to use them! Needless to say, my makeup looked goooood!

I ran 12 miles yesterday and 11 today. I repeated all the food I ate all weekend…. Which was way to much!

Love Urban Decay. I used to be all about the sparkles in the makeup, but now I mainly use the matte colors in the Naked palette. I also use that same eyeliner all the time. Well, that’s if I even put on makeup. Most of the time it is just mascara.

Taro is the BEST froyo flavor and most people look at me weird bc they have never even heard of it. I’m glad you’re one of the cool kids.

I sometimes wear makeup… Ive recently fallen in love with eyebrow/eye liner pencils. And i usually pop on some mascara too… Thats about it though.

That makeup is great though! You look good either way, made up or not 🙂

      The make-up looks great!

I ran, I ate and I repeated today! 6 miles during the kiddos nap and 2 miles this evening with the jogging stroller. Plus lots of food, none of which is interesting enough to talk about

Wow, she nailed it with that daytime (but still glam) look! Gorgeous!

I love getting makeup tips from experts. Somehow though, it’s never the same when I get home.

I need to have a little makeover. I usually just wear mascara, eyeliner, and blush. That’s it! I am envious of people that can apply makeup real good.
