Run – So I got up early to workout in the hotel gym on Thursday. I did about 30 min on the treadmill and then I was too bored to go on. I used to run on a treadmill 5 days a week, but since I’ve been running outside I can’t do the “mill anymore. Boo.
I made oatmeal with the coffee maker in the room because I am scrappy like that…Are you impressed?
and some grapes for fruit
Trip to Google! The reason we are in NY is because a couple of the BF’s good friends are getting married. (He is actually in the wedding.) The guy that is getting married works for Google and because it is the best company in the world to work for – literally, see here they let their employees bring visitors to eat lunch in their fancy cafe. Warning – after seeing the good food Google employees get for free you are going to realize how shitty your job is.Right when you walk in there is a HUGE case of different soft drinks, juices, waters, energy drinks – and anything else you could possibly want to drink. If that is not enough there is a soda fountain inside. They have a salad bar and a raw food bar and many vegetarian selections for healthy eaters!I love it! There is a grill section, sea food, ethnic foods section (including Mexican) and a dessert spread. All of this is completely free every week day for Google employees. I know you foodies out there can really appreciate that like I do 🙂
I got a big salad with different kinds of lettuce and veggies, couscous, a mozzarella ball, garbanzos, roasted brussel sprouts and tofu.
I also got a plate with angel hair pasta, roasted veggies, raw butternut squash in a peanut sauce, tortellini, grilled eggplant with tempeh “chicken” and fruit. I went back for some honey tea from the dessert bar that was probably full of honey, but tasted amazing. The BF tried this new drink that was weird, but interesting. It’s Synergy, and was like something I had never tasted before. It was slightly sweet and a little carbonated. It tasted “good for you” – which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. I would buy them, but I bet they cost $5 at Whole Foods, so unless I get a job at Google sometime soon you won’t be seeing this on the the blog.
I have to give a big Thank You to Dan for inviting us to have lunch and experience the awesomeness of a fancy, free, healthy (if you make good choices) and totally cool Google cafe. Thanks!

I know right. I didn’t even talk about the totally cool “fun room” complete with a ball pit!
