I had no choice but to find an alternative to oatmeal for breakfast because when I went to go make it I discovered my mom ate the perfectly ripe naner I was going to use to sweeten my oats and we only have green/not ripe naners. Boo. I was kind of annoyed because I purposely bought that banana knowing it would be super ripe for my oats today & since I have not been using brown sugar on my oats (Lent) I need something to sweeten it up. She even uses sugar, so it wouldn’t have mattered to her! Oh well. I moved on quickly and decided on making a smoothie and toast.
This is a normal piece of bread with PB & the “butt” piece that is super thin (and I ripped off the top since it was falling apart anyways & ate it) with Pumpkin butter.
My smoothie had:
1 cup almond milk
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
handful of spinach
I had never put spinach in a smoothie before so I was a little afraid it would be gross, but I couldn’t even taste it. It was amazing & mostly tasted like a chocolate smoothie. I love it! This is good news because I bought a MASSIVE bag of spinach from Costco last week and have to use it all up somehow. Stay tuned for more spinach consumption 🙂
Run –
I have deemed Tuesdays a speed work day. I did a 1 mile warm up and four .5 mile repeats. The repeats are not that fast compared to my usual speed, but I am working on it. My 30 day shred is at the post office, but I won’t be able to pick it up until tomorrow.

Caitlin – Thanks 🙂
Danielle – I kinda felt bad after I posted that since it seemed like such a rant, but I know I’m not the only one who would react that way.
Bobbi – Ah! That would be great!
Sarah – do it, you totally can’t tell.

I’m scared of using veggies in smoothies but I’m glad to hear that it doesnt end up tasting spinach-y!
