Post race Saturday – Burritos and funnel cake

Saturday evening we met up with some friends at a near-by Oktoberfest. Before we left I snacked on some carrots because I hadn’t eaten veggies all day!IMG_1407

and some pita chips.IMG_1403

For dinner I fueled up on an entire Chipotle burrito… Actually, this was my first Chipotle burrito (I only tried the bowl before) and expected it to change my life, it didn’t. I guess you can’t compete with the Pepe’s burritos from Pico (my hometown).

You know what’s weird…I ate the whole burrito, plus some of Ben’s fries and wasn’t overly full (you know the feeling IMG_1409you normally have after eating an entire burrito!). Nope, wasn’t too full at all. Don’t get me wrong, I was full, but just comfortably full. I kinda got concerned like, is my stomach stretched out from too much food or what? I guess my body thought the food amount was okay?!

Since it was Oktoberfest, but I wasn’t drinking I felt the need to make up for those lost alcohol calories on Ben’s fries and this funnel cake.IMG_1412

Before we left I also tried these crisps that True North sent to me before Belize. I thought they were good! But, Ben (who loves cranberry) wanted a cracker that was more salty than sweet. IMG_1393Check out those cranberry pieces! IMG_1395
