Wedding planning aside, let’s not forget – I have a marathon to run this weekend! Crazy. This week is a taper week, I am really appreciating that since I am so swamped with everything else!
The taper week schedule:
Monday – 5 miles
Tuesday – 4 miles
Wednesday – 5 miles
Thursday – Rest/Yoga
Friday – 3 miles
Saturday – Rest
Sunday – 26.2 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I may change up the schedule a bit depending on how my legs feel. I want to get a lot of rest this week so if I feel the slightest bit tired I will cut back on miles. This schedule is actually more than my training program calls for so I feel free to cut back if I want. It’s hard to cut back so drastically this week since I use running as an outlet for my anxiety and I have a ton of that right now! Can you blame me?
