Hello! So, I got caught in another rain storm yesterday. What is up with this … um, weather?! I never have to check the weather report in California so it’s a new concept for me to have to check it on the regular here.

Home:

I did take an umbrella on my walk but the wind was so crazy it didn’t help and I had to just try and run back! Ha!

Luckily, it didn’t rain during my 12 mile run this morning. I was so soaked in sweat that it was basically like I was swimming, but it was just coming from my pores not the clouds.

Even though it ‘s very hot and humid, I’m just doing my thing and trying to enjoy the journey.

Luckily, Ben’s mom is the best and hooks it up with all the foods I love. We hit up Publix today which has the BEST variety of Sabra hummus flavors and Toufayan wraps. Love it.

Also, I finally found a Coke (zero) with my name!! Have you found yours? Are you going to accuse me of drinking poison? I’m cool with that as long as you’re not my mom.

Coke Zero and watermelon!!! All my favorite things.

Wait. What is that weird thing in the background?
Ben is building a dome. Yep. He build a pretty big one a while back and now is perfecting the design.

Have you tried Skinny Sticks yet? I tried the sweet potato flavor at my mom’s and loved them. This flavor is good too, but I prefer the sweet potato (note my mom and Bobbi didn’t really dig the sweet potato though).

My sister-in-law is a physician and she said Coke Zero was a better vice than cocaine or heroin and so she drinks it: Boom. Doctor-approved.
Humidity and summer rain always make training a challenge here in Florida! But you can feel like a badass when you make it through a long training run when it is raining and crazy humid! Congrats on a great weekend!
I used to drink half litres of Coke Zero at work (I worked in a physio office) and finally one of the Physios told me that I was going to die if I kept drinking it, so I stopped. For a few months. Ha!
I love coke zero. I treat myself to it like some do with real soda.
I had chocolate chip ice cream in a sugar cone that was pretty delish and a cod fish taco too. Not at the same time. Lol.
Am I the only runner in the world that likes to just drink water? Although every day has to start with a black coffee… 😉
Yes James, you are 😉
Nope you’re not. Water and black coffee for me too!! I won’t tell you, Monica, to not drink Coke Zero 😉 but I’d definitely tell my kids. ✌
Coke zero is the best! This is random, but I have that same navy and pink sleepless top. Is yours via stitch fix too? My favorite drink today was my orange sunrise nuun after a super hot, humid run. So refreshing!
Farm Girl by Lift Bridge!
My favorite drink today is a Cosmo…. it’s been a long one. 🙂
I don’t know if I’ve ever had one! That is not right.
Girl! Cosmos are something else. I had my first one a few weeks ago. I don’t know if it was just mine, but they are definitely STRONG! I still prefer margaritas, but if you want to forget about some stress a cosmo will definitely do it, as long as you don’t mind the burn of all that liquor! Haha.
I like those veggie sticks. They’re tasty. I had a lovely espresso today on a patio in Little Italy.
That sounds dreamy 🙂
Choosing between running in the rain and being drenched in sweat is a difficult choice! I chose another route: running in the humidity and finding sprinklers to run through! Farmers market was this morning, so I’m now drowning in wonderful veggies and fruits…and it’s wonderful!
Going to a graduation party today and ran a 10k this morning. Gonna find all the fruit and good snacks. Also cheese. I love cheese. Thanks Wisconsin raising.
That sounds like a great day!!
My favorite food today is fried cheese, delish.
Oh, and prepare for rain every afternoon as well as lots of sun, and sometimes at the same time. Florida Problems. If you go to Manasota Beach after the rain you can usually see manatees. Just sayin. 😉
Ahhhh! I had a dream about manatees last night 🙂 I need to check that out.
What is fried cheese?
Oh, Monican! Coke Zero is like crack to me. I’m trying (again) to kick the habit, and am on day 4 Coke-Zero-free. I can’t even admit publicly how many I had been drinking every day. I had found one with my husband’s name and one with our last name (it’s a common boys’ name). You are torturing me!!!
Ugh. I know how hard quitting can be! Stay strong 🙂
