Run Eat Repeat

Things to do Thursday

Breakfast

FacebookTweetPin
25 Feb

I have a lot of things to do today and I keep remembering more stuff to add to the list!

I leave tomorrow morning for Las Vegas so I need to hit up the store for some essentials, figure out what I’m going to wear/pack, take my HTML test (which I’m not ready for) and clean.

Luckily (?) my Physical Therapy appointment for this afternoon was canceled so I have some extra time to work with. But, this means I won’t be able to go back to PT until next Friday at the earliest. IMG_5611

Before hitting up the gym I ate breakfast: 2 Kashi waffles, Almond Butter, Pumpkin Butter and Banana. It was so good! I don’t know why I don’t eat this every morning!IMG_5612

I took a STRIKE! class at the gym. Basically, it is kickboxing with a light bar. It is so much fun!!! And I found my favorite instructor ever! I am going to try and hit up more of her classes 🙂

The only bad thing is – I guess the gloves are pretty dirty, because look at my hand after class. Gross! (Yes, I know I have very vein-y, very large hands. Thanks mom.)IMG_5616*Darn it, that picture reminds me I need a tan!

I should get back to studying as I only have an hour until test time! But, my mind keeps wandering to Vegas, vodka, vomiting… never mind. monica is drunk*Darn it again! This pic reminds me I needed to get a manicure! I’m not going to have time though 🙁

Check ya later!

Yum, that breakfast looks fantastic! My hands are very vein-y, too … I hate it! Especially since I’m a musician who plays the piano, so people actually look at my hands.

      Have fun in Vegas!!

      I have a quick question for you…

I am a recovering binge eater and wonder HOW do you keep almond butter/peanut butter in your house? that is the one thing I can’t seem to stop from bingeing on when stressed?

      any tips for me?

American spoon also makes a pumpkin butter, for when you run out. But hopefully you were like me and bought a ridiculous amount of jars 🙂

      Hi Monica!
Have so much fun in Vegas! I am totally jealous! I have a random question. Did the doctor tell you the only activity that you can’t do is running? I’m not very familiar with kickboxing, but I would think it would be hard on your knee?! Maybe i’m wrong though! 🙂 Just curious!

The Physical Therapist actually told me to stick with the recumbent bike at first. But, on my second visit I told her I did kickboxing and she didn’t say anything about it (good or bad).
Some kicks do hurt my injured knee, so I modify them so it doesn’t hurt.

I’ve never heard of pumpkin butter, is it just available at like a Whole Foods or was it from a Farmer’s Market or something?

This was TJ’s pumpkin butter and it’s sooo good! But, it’s seasonal and they don’t have it again until Sept-ish 🙁
But, I know other stores and farmer’s markets do carry pumpkin butter. I think I saw it at Great Harvest too.
