Hello! How was your week? This week is a little out of the norm for me because Ben is around and has been using my car. So I’ve been taking nice lil walking breaks to get out and get some fresh air.
I’ve been using my weirdo wrist wallet to carry a key and some money. The guy at the Goodwill said it was cool, but I’m not sure if he was teasing me. Oh well I like it.
I wanted a treat today and decided to use up some of 326 apples I bought last week in my crazy Costco produce rampage. I made my Pre-Run Apple Oat bars. These are one of my favorite treats – they are super healthy, delicious and easy to make!
I had an amazing meal from Freshly for lunch – curry chicken.
And we went out for sushi. I love sushi, but not the ‘real’ sushi as I call it, more like the baked stuff and lots o’ rice.
Dessert will include a lot of granola. I cannot stop.
I got dressed up wearing fashion clothing I purchased from a shop like LNO Greek’s Delta Sigma Theta jackets store since it’s kinda a date.
Except I don’t know if you can consider a crew neck maxi from Target ‘dressed up’. Oh well, it’s how I roll.
This is the same style as the black & white one I bought from Target last week. It was so comfy I went back for another color.
Question: Do you like sushi?
Do you have a car?

love the dress, do not love sushi or fish or anything that comes out of the water

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sushi. I’m lucky enough to live in a city where every sushi restaurant offers AYCE. I go a few times a month with coworkers and then tell my family I havn’t had it in “forever” so we can all go as a family too. Sneaky…but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do.
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
That dress looks so pretty on you! I might need to pick one up! I’ve been in love with Target clothing lately. They have such great stuff there!
Those bars sound delicious! I might have to give them a try this weekend! I’m in a baking kind of mood!
Liza says
Where has Ben been living? I didn’t realize you guys weren’t living together.
Elaine says
Only the cooked kind. We still call that other stuff “bait.”
That dress looks great!
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz says
I would never make it through my life without sushi or my car…although I have always wanted to live somewhere full time where I didn’t need one. When I lived in Ireland, and Hilton Head that was the case and I adored running, biking, walking, or rollerblading everywhere. Aint gonna fly in Pittsburgh tho!
Tedi @ Running with Infertility says
I’ve only had sushi twice! I’m liking the “cooked” kind too. I guess there’s a roll called “crystal shrimp” that my husband really enjoys!
Kathy says
If you get tired of the wrist thing, you can try this, maybe even get them to send you one for free to review on the blog?

I took your apple bar recipe and tweaked it and eat the bars on long runs as fuel. I LOVE THEM! Really give me a pick me up. Here’s my altered recipe:
Ready Set Run Bar
Wet ingredients:
1 apple in food processor until roughly chopped
1 egg
2 small cups of chopped peaches in syrup
2 tbls coconut oil
Dry ingredients:
1 c sr flour
1 c oats in food processor until fine
1/2 c raw sugar
1/2 c sultanas
1/2 c dates in processor until fine
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1 tsp salt
1 c mixed fruit, nuts and seeds in food processor until nuts roughly chopped
Mix dry and wet ingredients. Spoon into flat slice tray and bake until golden. Store in fridge or freezer.

I have a car but work from home so don’t use it much! Sushi is fun – I only eat veggie sushi anymore since going vegan but I do miss some of the other stuff at times.
I LOVE the dress – looks great on you ! and I LOVE Target!
Leslie @ Life Begins @ 30? says
That maxi dress is super cute! Totally counts as dressed up!
Liz@NovelRunner says
That dress is STUNNING! I have to get to Target immediately!
Suzanne says
Your apple oat bars are fantastic, I tweak the recipe depending on what I have on hand, but they’re always delicious and a they’re healthy treat for my toddler!
Love sushi, sadly my family doesn’t love it as much as me 🙁
runeatrepeat says
Yeah! Glad you like them too 🙂
Sheena @ Paws and Pavement says
You always have the cutest dresses! I really like that maxi dress too! I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can start wearing some. My mom got me one of those wrist things too, honestly not my fav and so I would tuck key/money in my arm band. But hey if it works, it works right?
runeatrepeat says
Yeah, I prefer to just hold stuff on walks in my pockets, but it’s been so warm I don’t have a hoodie.
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
Yes to both of those questions, although I only use my car like once every 2 weeks since I moved to the city.
I love dresses from Target. I wore one last year that was purple and looked surprisingly fancy when I spruced it up with some jewelry.
Destiny says
The only kind of sushi I like is vegetable sushi, I am not that big of a fan for any other kind,
And I am 16 I don’t drive yet
AdjustedReality says
Sushi is not my fave, but all my friends lovelovelove it so we get dragged sometimes. I have a prius, but I wish I could function without one, I don’t love driving.
Flower says
Not a fan of sushi. And yes, I have a car, an SUV. I love it because I can throw pretty much everything in it and go wherever I want to.
Alex says
That dress is SO cute! And that sushi….I know it’s 10am here, but you’re already making me hungry. One of these days (if you haven’t already) you HAVE to do a post on how you curl your hair…it always looks so pretty.

Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
that dress looks awesome on you! I love the idea of maxis but just haven’t found one that I like on me ha! Also that sushi looks reeeeeally good!
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
Oh man, now I want sushi! I like any roll with shrimp, crab or avocado in it. SO good.
I have a car – a bright blue ford focus, but I have to sell it and get an SUV soon for work purposes.
Laura says
I love sushi, but prefer sashimi. I don’t like all the rice getting in the way of the good stuff!
Pretty dress!
Mario says
I’m not a big sushi fan but my wife does. She loves YOKO YOKO in Diamond Bar
sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
Yes….I’ve got a subaru forrester….
Yes….I love sushi! Mostly not raw but I do like spicy tuna and rainbow rolls which do have some raw.
Maxi dresses look really good on you. I’m a shortie and a stoutie so I’m better off with mini dresses. And since it was 7 degrees when I woke up today I opted for jeans, ski socks, a sweatshirt and a down vest as my attire for the day. #BRRRR!!!!!
Stephanie @ Sparkles and Sweat says
You look GREAT in that dress!
I always love maxi dresses when I see them at the store or online…..and then I remember that I’m like three feet tall and they don’t work for me at all lol.
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out says
I HAVE to try those apple bars! YUM!
Rebecca @ Bring Back Delicious says
Costco is so dangerous. I go in, black out, and come to with $150 worth of stuff in my cart. Every. Single. Time.
Linda @ TheFitty says
That isno regular sushi, it looks so much fancier!
