Trader Joe’s Blarney Scone

Lunch

14 Mar

I had to pick up a few ingredients for an exciting dinner recipe and stopped by Trader Joe’s this morning. This “Blarney Scone” caught my eye. It is actually not a scone, it’s  Irish Soda bread with a fun name Smile

Last year at this time I was living in Maryland and tried Irish Soda bread for the first time from Great Harvest. It was amazing, only better. Note how the package is open as I have a problem waiting till I get home to try new things.

I toasted a piece and put some ICBINB on it. Yes, get it. It is slightly sweet, but has a savory aspect because of the caraway seeds.

The rest of my lunch consisted of a Sink Salad. I have been craving beans like no one’s business lately! I think because I’ve been so “egg focused” lately I forgot how much I love beans! Well, they are back big time.

Speaking of living in Maryland – I ended up getting caught up reading a bunch of my old posts from this time last year. Here is the day Ben and I went to the DC Zoo. I can’t believe it’s been a year!

I saw the Blarney Scone at TJ’s this weekend – thought it was hilar. Aw, the DC Zoo makes me so sad. All the animals look so tired and scraggly.

Beans show up in my diet every day. I have to have some kind or I got a little batty 🙂
