Run Eat Repeat

After my 6-miler this morning I was hungry! So I broke up breakfast into 2 parts today…

First I made a protein shake with powder, ice and water. It’s not pretty, but it does the trick.  I didn’t have time for a full breakfast at home, but I wanted to make sure to refuel. Protein shakes are convenient for this reason, but I try not to make them a regular part of my diet. I would rather eat than drink my food unless it’s a delicious smoothie 🙂DSCN0931

And I’m taking this whole wheat cinnamon/raisin bagel to work. I’ll toast and top with almond butter when I get there 🙂DSCN0929

It looks like it’s going to be a busy day at work! Have a great Monday everyone 🙂

Mmmm I had that almond butter on an english muffin for breakfast. I love the saltiness, especially after running when I need to take in and hold onto water

I love bagels and almond butter, it’s the best combo ever. Especially cinnamon raisin.

I know what you mean. As much as I love Luna bars and the like I would much rather eat real food. But sometimes you just need to grab something quick and go.
