On the walk home today I thought about dinner and decided a BIG bowl of spaghetti sounded great! Spaghetti is a real comfort food for me since my mom used to make it weekly. Spaghetti feels like home and I really need that right now!IMG_1287

So I decided on spaghetti, but since I knew I was hungry and wanted A LOT of food I cooked up some broccoli on the side to fill out my bowl. There was still more spaghetti than veggies, but I did save some calories by adding veggies. I made some bread for Ben and ended up eating a piece too. And I drank some of Ben’s Mango Lassi too 🙂 IMG_1291

Dessert! I ended up changing my dessert last night to cereal so tonight is time for a Vitatop and hot chocolate 🙂 This is heaven.IMG_1292

Now I have to go watch Lost. We are on episode 23. I am addicted!

I always “bulk up” my pasta with veggies. I love pasta, which is good, but I also love big bowls of pasta which is not so good. With lots of veggies, it looks like a lot, visually, so I leave the table physically and mentally satisfied!

Your dinner looks really good. and you are right. making that broccoli on the side is a great way to “bulk up,” some comfort food. i think there is always a way to fit comfort food into a healthy diet. there are no “good” or “bad” foods. there are just foods. and all foods make your body feel a certain way. we just all nees to stop and recognise what that way is.
