Hello! How’s it going? Yesterday was super busy with work and online deal hunting and covering the cat in blankets…
When I got home from Florida there was a package waiting for me (inside thanks to my lil housesitter as it rained!)… Chex cereal. This is my favorite one!
But I don’t really have a lot of food photos from recent eats because they’ve all been less than photogenic and less than healthy.
(See: the cheese fries and vodka sodas I had last night)
(See also: the Instagram story I made in the restroom of that bar where I might have been slightly buzzifed.)
The point of this entire lil confession is to say I bought the 24 day challenge pack to start in January. There’s going to be a big group doing it together with a FB group and extra support.
But I decided to just start now to get back to clean eating and because I need the extra energy right now. I just focus on eating healthy, skipping alcohol and junk food and not snacking after dinner – so it’s not a crash diet but a way to get me to put the brakes on the 16 chocolate squares I randomly ate last night.
Bonus: There is free shipping on orders over 175 and a few limited time items like a variety Spark pack and holiday tins available until tomorrow. A reader was just asking about a variety pack and I said they don’t make one – then a few days later… #Boom
To get me in the holiday spirit I’ve been working on a fun Christmas craft… come back for that!!
And I got my nails painted a sparkly red! It’s called Ruby Pumps.
In other news…
I hit up Bev Mo for craft supplies and spotted the wine Amy Schumer mentioned in her book. She is obsessed with Rombauer Chardonnay.
Well, I really want to try it out of curiosity but this would be the most expensive bottle of wine I’ve ever bought. I couldn’t bring myself to get it because it was just a random day and not a special occasion or anything. Maybe I’ll save up the change I find while running and put it toward this?
See? She’s so into it – it must be amazing. Since it’s on the internet it must be 1000% true.
Now I’m sipping iced coffee and waiting for the sun to rise so I can RUN!!! What are you up today today?
Question: Do you buy fancy wine? Would you buy that wine??
What’s the most expensive food you buy?
I think it’s going to be almond butter for most of us…

I have some fancy wines in our wine cabinet. I think the most expensive is $75 and I put a sticker on it so I don’t just pull it out and set it out for a free for all. I usually do not drink Rose wine but saw Kelly Ripa drinking Whispering Angel on her show and she said she keeps it stocked in her dressing room. I think it’s $20something a bottle and found it at Cost Plus/World Market. Anyway, I thought by drinking it I would turn into Kelly Ripa but it didn’t. I thought it was “okay” but I prefer big bold red wine. A good friend of mine really likes it though so I guess I did a good deed and she has a new favorite. We live near several wineries in WA state so it’s easy to get carried away in buying wine.

I clicked on the post simply because it had the word wine in it also! haha 🙂 And yes to the almond butter being the most expensive food purchase, I’ll be having heart failure at the grocery store in a couple hours when I have to buy a couple jars. 🙁

I don’t drink…so no wine but I’ll splurge for a nice sit down dinner.

I actually want to see all your eats, healthy or not! Those cheese fries look good!
I don’t drink so no wine for me. But I buy A LOT of fruits – I know they’re generally not that pricey, but I really eat a lot so they really add up.

I read this post solely for the wine part ha 🙂 so yes, I do love wine and will buy expensive wine if it is a variety I like. I HATE chardonnay so I would never buy up for a bottle of it. If it’s a variety you like, go for it! It feels really good to splurge on wine.

Eesh I’m about $20 for the most for a bottle of wine. As for most expensive food for me, I’d say I like to get a good steak every now and then. That’s about it

I don’t buy fancy wine…. In fact, most of my wine comes from a box now! Some of those are pretty bad, but others are tasty. In the world of wine in a bottle, I usually top out at 16.99 so I wouldn’t have bought it, either, no matter what Amy Schumer has to say.
As far as expensive food goes, I always feel indulgent when I buy a pint of Ben & Jerry’s at full price, usually 4.99 or so. Because let’s face it, that’s pretty much single serve, and you can buy a half gallon of something else for significantly less. I don’t let those feelings stop me, though. Chocolate therapy, you’ve always got a place in my freezer!

I admit, I had to chuckle when I saw the price of that wine. The way you were talking about it, I thought for sure it was at least double that price. Ha!
Expensive here… that would be my daughter’s yogurt she has in her lunch daily. Agree with the above, avocados. They are usually $2.50 each here. E.A.C.H! I really need to see if I can grow an avocado tree here. I could make a fortune selling them to my friends and coworkers!

I love Sterling Vineyards cab. It’s $20 a bottle. So not as pricey. Hmm avocados are expensive over here.
