Hi! Are you ready for a good week? I’m in it to win it and get back on track with clean eating and walking every day. That’s my POTM15 goal for the week – take a walk each day. But before we all share our Pile on the Miles report for today let’s talk about my SoCal road trip.

California Road Trip Must Haves…
1. Patience. Traffic can be a B.

2. A Toll Roads Pass if you’re headed to Las Vegas or Palm Springs from Orange County. Boom.
3. Lots of water which you can carry in one of those hunting packs. It’s dry. Plus you may be enjoying an adult beverage during your travels – stay hydrated or it’s unpleasant.

4. Lots of pee stops. See above.
5. Snacks. Just because I love snacks.

6. Bluetooth for your phone so you can catch up with your peeps / tell them you’re stopping by randomly!

7. In-N-Out. If this doesn’t happen your road trip didn’t count.

8. An open mind to non-fancy hotels. Saves money. Click here for a list of hotels in Laguna Beach.

9. Good company. If that’s not available a good audio book or podcast.

10. An epic destination, which includes pretty much everywhere in CA. It’s nice here.


I spent some quality time with my best friend in Palm Springs last night and this morning. She is the best! Bonus: She has the best champagne.

ran 3 miles and walked for 45 minutes.
Didn’t get to check in yesterday, but it was a rest day.
Oops forgot to post yesterday. I got in a quick elliptical workout after work all day and an event in the evening.

This morning’s workout was a super short jog/run and elliptical cross training
walked 2 miles to/from gym, spinning, then yoga. first yoga class in 10+ years…
#POTM15 – 3 mile treadmill run after 5+ hours in a car for work. Kudos to hubby for dinner and baby duty so I could get it in. #bodyafterbaby

4 miles of speedwork, my fastest 4 mile run ever!
Hit up the gym for a warm up on the elliptical and then Zumba!
Today was 5 easier miles in the morning and 2 miles of sprints with my runners, and all with a cold. Running seems to help build my immune system and I feel like I get over stuff quicker when I run.
I walked 4.25 miles this morning and went to body shred class tonight!
Spin & Strength class. First workout since I got sick last week and it felt good!
Fog and rain here in Austin, TX so had to jump on the treadmill and yuck! I could only bear one mile, but I did complete my other challenge and did some dumbbell work too.
I walked on the treadmill, incline and hiit. I also did day two of the 21 day arm challenge.
Ran 7 miles this morning and walked around a ton!
Record mileage for last week! 25 miles in one week! Got 44 of 85 done for November…
I had a rest day from running, so I did some Blogilates today!
I ran 5.25 miles this morning!
Ran/walked a 5k yesterday, today i wasn’t able to exercise but I did get some stretching in. Plan for tomorrow is run a 5k on the treadmill at the gym
Today was work, followed by a 10 mile bike ride and a session with my trainer at the gym. I can’t believe I got a bike ride in on November 16 in Massachusetts. The weather was just gorgeous today!!! I’d go tomorrow too, but I have to work late and it gets dark at 4:30.

I got in a couple miles and an upper body workout before class/work. My body is LOVING taper week so far!
Teaching barre tonight and then practicing 2 songs for new choreo!
I was up really late and again really early this morning for work, so I think I’m going to take a rest day today. I did go out for a 5K run yesterday, though!
I love In-N-Out! I wish there was one here in Idaho! I want to go for a walk with my dogs but it snowed last night and there are 50 mph winds so that’s not happening at the moment.
Rest day! Taking a brisk walk (it’s really windy in San Diego today) and vacuuming my house. Also core, stretch, foam roll, eat.
Ran about 3.6 this morning and did the lower fix workout video!

I got in 2.1 miles of uphill trail running this morning with my dog. Now I am inside watching the snow clouds roll in!

Wind is super crazy here today, so the plan is to hit up a class at the gym tonight, either spinning or Zumba.
started this week off with a 3 miler since I’ve been hitting my strength training goals for the past couple of weeks but not quite making my running goal.
Today was super weird – there was a crazy person holed up in an office building in in downtown DC so I got stuck working from home. It was so nice, I ditched work for a bit and went for a run in the middle of the day! Work from home for the win.
I am feeling a road trip. Even though it’s November. The pull of the road and the nomad in me is calling…
Long run yesterday was a success! But I am pretty sore today so I’ll do some yoga and strength at home.
On deck today: 6.5 miles on bike. Tomorrow is a running day!
5 miles and planks for me! I’ve been sticking with that as my Monday routine, and I have to admit that I really like starting the week off strong.
It’s slow at work so I think I’m gonna sneak out early and walk downtown to catch the ferry home. It’s a 2.5 mile walk.

Today is an unscheduled rest day, because Murhpy’s Law says as soon as my quad heals, I have to wake up with a tweaked neck. SIGH.
Great running weekend. 5 miles on Saturday. 4 miles on Sunday and 2 barre classes in the bank!
I’m running for 35 minutes (easy pace) plus taking the dog for her pup to 5k.
#POTM15 🙂 So proud, I ran 4km/2.5m in 22minutes, cycled 7km/4.3m and did some arm workout!
6.5 miles on the dreadmill this morning and some arm weights. Why can I spend hours and hours running yet no more than 15 minutes lifting weights before I’m bored out of my mind?
Today was an early morning boot camp day for me. I already have 5 miles in for my 10 miles per week goal. Maybe I should up my goal 🙂

Today is a walk day. Already got one in before work, plan another at lunch and a super long one this evening.
Walked 2.25 miles this morning. Best part = listening to my Monday morning inspirational podcast (Half Size Me) and hearing you as her guest! Great job, Monica!!!

Everything about this road trip looks awesome. The weather….ugghh. If you ever want to host a runner girl from Pennsylvania, let me know…haha. I will bring watermelon and chocolate! Pile on the miles is going well. Got it 11 yesterday and 32 for the week.
I’m taking a rest day today as I was pacing at a 10k yesterday. It was surprisingly exhausting being the cheerleader as well as doing the actual running!
I have a long day at work today (boooo), and am cooking dinner tonight – so just a 15 mile cycle (to/from work) for me.
What a depressing little comment this is.
