Silky Mango Lassi

Even though I don’t think I really got on east coast time last weekend, I swear I’m still on Florida time. Or maybe I’m just feeling like a Florida retiree and want the Early Bird Special because I was ready for dinner at 5pm tonight!

This was just random leftovers from Tuesday night – chicken, brussel sprouts with mushrooms and delicious garlic cheese bread.IMG 7463 800x600 thumb Silky Mango Lassi

I don’t mind an early dinner though. When I was little I remember my Grams watching the Golden Girls. Funny enough I thought she was as old as them then! Sorry Grams.  Anyway, they remind me of my Grams and I want to hang out with them wlEmoticon smile5 Silky Mango Lassi (Can someone please photoshop me in there? thanks)golden girls thumb Silky Mango Lassi(source)

I was recently invited to try one of Silk’s beverages. Since I already use their Vanilla Almond milk on a daily basis in my iced coffee and for smoothies I wanted to try something new. I went to the store with Ben tonight and let him choose the kind he wanted. We got Silk Fruit & Protein in Peach Mango. image thumb12 Silky Mango Lassi

Short trips are hard for me too; while I’m there, I don’t feel like I adjust to the time change and then coming back home I don’t feel like I am on my regular time anymore either! Hope you’re at least sleeping well.

Lol, I’ve always liked eating at around 5:00/5:30. It became a problem when I started college, because I could never convince my friends to go to the Dining Center at 5:00 when I was ready to eat! But by 5pm, I am sooooo hungry!!!!

I might need to give Silk another try. I used it a couple times because my roomie in college liked it. Wasn’t a big fan myself. Like the real stuff. Skim milk and I are tight. However, I might be willing to step out on her for mango protein action.
