Yesterday Vegas and I put on our very elaborate Halloween costumes to give away candy.

This was my costume this year…
I had a ‘real’ costume but wasn’t super motivated to get dressed up in anything that took effort. So, I found these ears in my ‘random box’ in my closet (it has wrapping paper, craft stuff and Santa hats – it is really random). Boom. Costume done and done.

My favorite part of the night was when a teen trick-or-treater asked, “Are you Karen from Mean Girls?”
“Duh” I said and pointed to my ears.
Her friend told me to wear pink on Wednesday. Ha!

I think giving away candy is just as fun as trick-or-treating when I was a kid. Anyone else love it?
Right now I’m sipping iced coffee and eating cereal while writing this post. I am going to try and get the POTM posts done the day before so my friends on the other side of the world can check in a little earlier. I am on Pacific time and I know that’s kinda late to the party. But it’s only 5am here – so that’s super early too! Time is confusing.

Easy 5 on my treadmill.
I didn’t run today but I did go to a barre class dressed in costume with a girlfriend! Barre is much harder dressed as a pineapple. 😉
Yesterday I did the cross trainer and total body was. Today ran 5 miles & some stretching
4 slooooow miles. Still recovering from marathon followed by gum surgery. Hoping to get my mojo back by my half marathon on the 13th!

I planned on hitting up the gym after work but I got stuck in a meeting that ran late. Ugh. But, it was probably good that I took a rest day since I normally rest on Sunday, but I did a Halloween themed class at my gym that day.

Nov 1 – 2.25 miles. Ran the first mile before taking a walk break. Victory for me. I haven’t exercised at all for over a month. Hoping to get back into the habit with the help of this challenge.

I ran 3 miles at a faster pace than I have been running at recently. I was very excited to see the watch after!!!
Unfortunately, I woke up sick. This challenge did not start well.
I got in my 4 miles, although they were very slow. I did not realize how much the half marathon on Saturday had affected my legs!
I ran 4.3 miles in 53 minutes on November 1.
I didn’t run, although I sure power walked to get to campus! I’m in grad school and have an assistantship, so I spent three hours as a student and four hours as a teacher, with a bunch of research thrown in. 🙂

Taking a couple of days off to let my legs recover from the MCM marathon on Sunday – but so excited for the challenge so I don’t end up with the post-marathon blues (and any lack of aim/structure to my workouts) that usually follows a big race! Plan to start back with an easy run on Wednesday!

I did an Orange Theory workout Tuesday night. Endurance day and I got more than 30 “splat” points…woo hoo!
Currently injured so can’t run 🙁 worked on glute and hip strength instead.
Today was a rest day as I kicked yesterday off with a 5km on the dreadmill.

Today was a rest day from running but I did just get done with a BodyPump workout. I LOVE pump and I LOVE that I can do it in my basement with Les Mills on Demand since my children never let me leave the house alone.
I ran today! Pushed my toddler at the park and jogged about 3 miles!! Added in 2 miles of regular walking and got a total of 5 miles on my Fitbit!

Today was to be a gym/treadmill day before work. I have three alarms set each weekday morning. (One to wake me up. One to get me out of bed. And one to remind my daughter to head out for the bus,) I slept through all three today. Ugh! I didn’t wake up until my daughter sent me a text to say she was on the bus. Turns out I forgot to turn my alarm volume up for bed.
Tomorrow is a new day!
Long travel day for work, so didn’t get in as many steps as I would like. That’s why I wrote my goal as an average per week. . . for days like this. Will need to double down tomorrow!
I did my weekly treadmill “tread ‘n shed” class. Got in 4 miles in 35 mins.

I did my first ever speed workout today! 8x400m@5k race pace with 400m recovery in between. I could have gone faster/recovered less but I didn’t want to do too much on my first day of speed work. I really liked it – way more than I expected to!
I noticed your post about a speed workout today – I did speed work for the first time today too!! So agree with your comments about liking it more than expected! Sounds like we are both looking forward to our next speed training day 🙂

I walked 30 minutes today. Trying to get back in shape.
Day 1 – I walk/jogged 1.66 miles! My knee is still injured from my first Marathon on Oct. 9th, so I’ve been struggling to stay motivated to workout without a race/training schedule. I know that I need to stay active, do my PT and strength exercises, but it’s been hard to be motivated since all my friends are running and I can’t. I’m looking forward to this challenge getting me back on track and hopefully running again!

Done! I walk to and from work (3K total), so I wanted to up the ante a little and my goal is now at 5K every day. This will be hard on my days off because I really like to do nothing on these days!

I ran 3 yesterday and took a 75 minute Yoga Sculpt class at Core Power Yoga! I am using my free week and an unlimited month Groupon to help motivate me to get to my goal of working out 20 times this month!
Today’s plan is for another class at Core Power! I didn’t run, but still got up early to get into work early to take a 4:30 class.
I’m recovering from a stress fracture in my fibula – happened during week 11 of marathon training 🙁 I just got the go ahead to start walking for exercise. Never thought I’d be so excited to walk, lol.

After teaching two workout classes and running five miles yesterday, today is my REST DAY!
This morning was my first run post 50k last weekend! It will be a double header…2.5 morning miles, brew run group run this evening I “piled on the miles” last year – yay!
I walked 4 miles today and also did some upper body strenght training at the gym which was nice since today is a festive day in Barcelona and everybody there was super chill 🙂
I always run after work – 5 miles on the schedule for today plus I plan to walk at lunch:) I’m sore from back squats at Cross Fit yesterday so it will probably be a slow 5 miler.
Got in a couple of miles before work this morning!
Did my leg day weight training with my personal training today. She ALWAYS kicks my ass.
I do all my working out in the evening, so I’ll be checking in in the morning (like this) with my plans, and tomorrow’s morning check in will have my plans plus what I actually did the night before.
Today is my 1+ day for OHP at the gym, then 3-5 miles afterward, depending on how I feel (probably more like 3 miles, but that’s okay).
63 degrees at 5AM in Iowa on November 1st how could you not put in the miles. Ran 4.3 miles. Had to walk some due to a sore foot but still out there doing it.
30 minutes on the spin bike and hoping to get in a 30 minute workout video when I get home from work.
Rest day here. Ran a half marathon on Saturday so giving my legs the day off!

I started early with a spin class this morning. Yesterday I ran 4 miles (I know POTM doesn’t start until today but it counts for my weekly mileage). I’m planning on running 15 miles a week in addition to my other group fitness classes that I do throughout the week.
I ran 3 easy treadmill miles this morning. I’m being smart this time, and not building my mileage up too quickly, after spending half of 2016 recovering from (read: trying to run on) stress fractures in both tibiae. My foam roller is my best friend.
30 minutes yoga this morning
I ran 6 miles this morning — I was wearing shorts and a long sleeve shirt and was hot! It’s so warm in the Midwest for November 1st, I love it!!
Day 1 done! 3 treadmill miles – just under 30 minutes. I started off slow and sped up during the second half. I had to push to hold my faster pace but thinking about everyone else doing this challenge was incredibly motivating! Have a great day everyone!

I’m running 3 miles during my lunch today! It’s hard this time of year because it’s so dark out in the morning and it’s dark when I get home and so if I want to run outside I need to squeeze it in during my lunch hour! 🙂
30 minute lower body this morning, 45 minuted tabata class tonight and 4 miles on the treadmill yesterday to go towards my weekly goal!

Went to the gym this morning! 15 min on treadmill (hills!) then arm and abs strength training – 45 min total.
I met with my trainer for a 45 minute weight training session!
Swam + 2 miles this morning, and have a lunchtime walk on the calendar!
I’ve been in such a groove with getting my daily steps in and excited for the Pile on the Miles challenge for that to continue! 6500 steps today!

I did a weight lifting group fitness class today, and really pushed myself.
I’m taking a semi-rest day this morning! I have a gnarly blister on my big toe so after draining it for the 4th time, I put a blister bandaid on it and it feels a little better so I will test it out after work today 😉

I run after work every day. Plan is 10 miles today! Should be a good start to the first day of November.
We have a group running our first 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks (in WI). I sent your list of 10 things that can happen & what to do…we all loved them! Perfect timing. I would love some compression socks for our winter running.

Been slacking for months- no longer running. Today I will attempt to hit 5 miles just while at work by taking walking breaks. Then on top of it tonight I will get a run in, regardless of distance! Yay fun, I need something to get back to it!
