Hello! I just spent the day at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim! It was epic as always and I want to share my favorites soon, but I have over 100 pictures and notes to go through so I’m going to work on that tomorrow. For now I am checking in with day 3 of my 10 day clean eating challenge.

I started the day with a good run and about 8.8 minutes of abs.
Randomly, there was a lei hanging on a tree along the running path. It looked like a nice one too – wonder what’s that all about… Is this littering in Orange County? So fancy.

I had toast before my run and a smoothie after.

Lunch was a salad with chicken and leftover roasted veggies.

I also have been eating tons of fruit. I’m focused on trying not to eat junk but I still want sweets and treats so I’ve been eating fruit in place of straight up donuts.

And Spark all the time!! Okay, not all the time but at least once a day, mostly after lunch. (Most people doing the challenge have it in the morning instead of coffee but I still have coffee and have this later.)

The expo ( #ExpoWest) was super long and crazy – I loved it. But I headed home pretty late and hit up Costco on the way back. I grabbed a quick and easy dinner – salad kit and rotisserie chicken. Done and done.

Question – saw these fruit trees at Costco… I only have a patio, but really want one. I need a tree, right?? Yes.

You’re Mexican a Lime tree is a must. LOL.
Lemon! You could make lemonade for days!
And I love lemon in water.
Mandarin for sure!
Lime for margaritas!
Get a lime tree! So much more useful than the others, right !?
Ha, a lei is the best litter ever!
I love lime on everything so I’d definitely pick a lime tree.
Definitely mandarin orange! I feel like lemon and lime are just flavorings but mandarins you can eat straight up. I love your idea of replacing sweets with fruit. I’ve been trying to do that and it really does the trick.
Lemon and/or lime. Then you’ll be set for cocktail garnishes!
That was my first thought 😉
Definitely lemon! But double check – sometimes they need to be in pairs in order to produce fruit. Not sure if this is true of lemons.
Ohhh! Good tip – thanks for letting me know.
That Natural Products Expo sounds like soo much fun!
I’ve always wanted a lemon tree. So pretty!
Yeah! I love lemon trees and how lemons look in a bowl in the kitchen.
What sauce do you put over your salad?

I go through phases on salad dressing… right now I’m using a Salsa Ranch by Bolthouse and Sriracha. I usually add a splash of liquid aminos or an Asian vinaigrette.
We have a meyer lemon tree on our apartment balcony and I live in Austin, TX. They take well to the heat and plenty of sun! We call him Marco the Meyer Lemon Tree. He has already given us so many lemons for the two years we’ve had him. They’re not extremely difficult to take care of, but you do have to fertilize them with special fertilizer for maximum lemons and watch out for these nasty bugs that like to get on them (and all citrus trees) called scales.
