2010 New Year’s Resolutions and Goals

Uncategorized

I have so many improvements I want to make it was difficult to limit my 2010 New Year’s Resolutions and Goals. I could have made a list of 20 things!
My resolution is to get healthier while still destroying myself with alcohol and drugs

But, I have broken it down into goals/resolutions into three categories:  Fitness, Personal and Professional.

Fitness:

  1. Lose 20 pounds – Intuitive Eating, Cut back on sweets, Eat whole foods
  2. Run a 1:45 half marathon and a sub four hour full marathon (yikes!)
  3. Do Yoga twice a week (for strength training)
  4. Run five races
  5. Recommit to being vegetarian

Personal:

  1. Enjoy more time with family and friends
  2. Go to a new country
  3. Learn Spanish
  4. Choose to be happy

Professional:

  1. Get a good job that I enjoy
  2. Learn – go back to school or get training
  3. Improve the blog

I believe in making my goals S.M.A.R.T. – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive. That means I need to have a plan laid out for how I can achieve these goals to really make it work. From this list I will make smaller, measurable goals to keep me on track. I encourage you to do the same.
Thanks for not laughing at my absurdly unattainable New Year's resolutions

I also plan to make 2010 my healthiest year yet by having one health goal each month that everyone can follow along with (if you want). January is Meatless Monday Month – more information is to come on this Sunday 🙂

I hope you all had an amazing New Year’s Eve and I wish you all the best in 2010! Thank you for reading.

Great goals, Monica! Mine are pretty similar, except for slightly slower race times (2:30 half and sub-5:00 full)! 🙂 Hope you have an amazing 2010!
