Fun Friday, Kinda

Ben and I were supposed to do something super fun today (hint: it involves the Happiest Place on Earth, but not Yogurtland) but he is sick. Boo. Luckily, Vegas took care of him while I worked this morning.vegas is a snob

At least his computer doesn’t have a virus!

Around noon I made a massive salad and drank 3 seltzers. I drink too much, I need Seltzer’s Anonymous. Step One: Admit your problem on your blog. Done.IMG_5952 (800x600)

I paired it up with some fruit since my watermelon turned out really good!

Watermelon, will you be my Valentine? IMG_5954 (800x600)

And a few pieces of dark chocolate for a happy ending Winking smileIMG_5955 (800x600)

I was going through a ton of super old emails from Ben trying to find the name of the place where we had our first date and I came across this picture he sent me at some point…cat pushing watermelon

I love it.

In other Fun Friday News, my friend Susan agreed to run a race with me! I cannot believe that I casually emailed her about it and she said yes. It’s going to be fun!

Question: What are you doing this weekend?

The weather is ridiculously gorgeous so I’m hoping to get outside for something other than my long run.

I wish I could say I was going to do something fun, but there are just no plans for any of that today. Maybe I can tomorrow! Have a great weekend 🙂

Saturday: Hill training in the morning followed by a (zzz) day-long event; chill out for whatever that’s left of the day.
Sunday: Early morning run + yoga; chill out; breathing & meditation class in the evening.
So exciting, huh? Don’t answer that!

Hope he feels better soon! Doesn’t it always seem sickness hits at the WRONG time?! Never during days you have nothing to do…but ALWAYS on your busiest days/weeks or when there are a million exams coming up (always).

Enjoy your beautiful weather! Winter’s finally hitting us here in AL. We’re in for a hard freeze and 30 mph winds tomorrow. Woo.hoo.

I fit my long run (15 miles) in today before the snow came. Now my Mom is coming up to visit tomorrow and we are going skiing tomorrow. I can’t wait to see her!

Well, I’ll be running the Hot Chocolate 15K here in Dallas with the lovely temp in the 20’s with wind chill in the teens. Winter chose to arrive here tonight. Great timing. I’ll spend the rest of the weekend in a hot sauna.

I’ll be working all day Sunday because even though I have a deadline next Tuesday, my week was completely filled with horrible meetings where the big boss man basically yelled at everyone. Yes, the managers deserved it and it was helpful that I was there because I can sometimes provide useful information. But it still sucked. And now I need to work over the weekend.

However, since I’m putting in a full day on Sunday, I’m taking next Friday off biatches!

Tomorrow morning I’m doing a group run for Sherry then having french toast with my mom.

We are doing the virtual run that is dedicated to Sherry Arnold, the runner who was abducted and murdered in Sidney, Montana, recently.

People from all over the world are taking part in the virtual run on Saturday.

I hope you and your readers will take part, too.

Sad for not doing the fun thing you wanted to do, and I want to know what it is! 🙂 I hope Ben feels better soon! What are your weekend plans? I just have work, boo.
