5 Minute Bean Dip Recipe

This creamy bean dip is vegan and super easy to make. Might be a good idea for that ‘big game’ everyone is talking about this weekend…

5 minute bean dip

I’ve been trying to make friends lately and invite peeps over to play hang out. When people actually take me up on the offer I want to have plenty of booze and food so they keep coming back.

But, I’m no Fancy McFancerson and don’t have a whole spread of hors d’oeuvres always ready to go. I created this super quick and delicious bean dip in a pinch and it came out amazing! I was going to bake it but it works just to heat it in the microwave.

I like the idea of the hummus rather than cheese for the base. I’ve been addicted to hummus with sriracha on it but probably wouldn’t serve it as an appetizer to guests. I usually veggies and hummus or nacho chips and home made guac . I use to do a lot of crackers and cheese until I gave up cheese but that’s an easy one that most people seem to like! Nuts are good too and there are a lot of good and easy recipes for coating the nuts in something to make them seem a little more “gourmet” without having to put in too much time 🙂

Have I ever told you that you’re the first person to introduce me to Sabra Hummus????!!! I’ve never heard about it till you posted it on the blog and when I came to the US (2 months back)…I just had to get them! And yes, they’re good.

Beer, mostly. We don’t usually have a lot of company. We’re kind of antisocial 😉

I am awful at entertaining, but I am trying to learn from my mother in law who always has snacks beautifully displayed whenever we come over. She will usually have an assortment of nuts and fruit and then start shoving cheese, crackers, and vegetables down our throats as well. I can’t stop eating them!

I definitely like to put out hummus and veggies, but I also spring for a cheese plate. You can’t go wrong with cheese. Oh and plenty of wine, beer and other spirits. Nobody likes a party without them:)

If I had a better relationship with beans I would love this but unfortunately they hurt my stomach and keep me in the bathroom for the rest of the day!
