Must Have Make Up

Hello! I am a traveling machine lately. And I’ve received a lot of questions lately on my Instagram and the blog about my make-up. So here are my MUST HAVE Make Up picks.

make up blog meme

I have a lot of makeup but these are the things I actually really need and therefore make sure are in my travel makeup bag! Everything else I could probably throw away and not miss until I was trying to be randomly fancy or something. NOT that I plan on changing my make-up hoarding ways. I just need a bigger sink to spread it all out.

What’s in my makeup bag…

1. Base – Skin BB Cream with SPF / Concealer / Pressed Powder

2. Skin – Contour and Highlighter and Blush (I use a darker color of concealer for contour.)

3. Eyes:

Naked Palette by Urban Decay

4. Eyeliner:

Stile Liquid Eyeliner for when I’m feeling brave

Eyeliner pencil for inside the lash line.

5. Lashes:

Eyelash curler – always curl your lashes kids.

Maybelline Mascara – this is a pretty cheap option and I swear it’s the best! You can get it at Target or CVS or wherever. Just get waterproof so you don’t look like a mess at the end of the day.

6. Brows – Auburn brow gel & Eyebrow Pencil–> Great options for redheads! I’ve searched and searched for colors that work for my eyebrows and these are the way to go.

White eyeliner for under my brows because that’s what you’re supposed to do according to the makeup police.

7. Lipliner – I use a light pink that’s just a shade or two darker than my lips (Frenchie or Melon). I actually just started wearing lipliner recently when I realized I put on my bb cream super sloppy and get it on my lips. So this helps get my lips back to a pink color.

Lipgloss – I love all lipgloss and have one in my make up bag, purse and car.

Question:  What is the most important thing in your makeup bag?

I love this post! My makeup essentials are Maybelline SPF15 BB cream, lip balm, and a good brow pencil – because brows make ALL the difference.

I think mascara. I have really light and some blonder eyelashes so it makes a big difference!

I love makeup so much. I always use the POREfessional primer from Benefit and the Orgasm blush from NARS. I buy Sigma brushes (I do have two Mac brushes but I find the Sigma hold up just as well) and all of the Naked palettes. Plus, I recently started using the HAC pack from Maskcara for highlighting and contouring and I really love it.

All of this and I work at home and work out almost every day so I only do a full face for special occasions. It’s crazy.

I randomly remember you posting on your blog or IG you mid-contour, which I thought was the cutest 🙂

I love that skin BB cream. Is it not the softest cream ever?!

Yes! I usually am not this loyal to one product, but I love it.

I use baby oil. I use waterproof mascara so I need something that will take it off, but isn’t harsh.

Mascara and my Anastasia brown pen. And now that it’s heating up outside, some blotting powder as well. Love the NAKED palette as well 🙂

Most important thing would have to be my BB cream – it’s so versatile and makes me look less dead than anything! Paint. It. On.

Same here! Most days I don’t put on much makeup, but mascara and powder always go on! I look so weird without it, ha.

Same! I was about to dye my eyebrows before this trip because they are so light too and the pool/ocean would just wash off any makeup. But I didn’t yet… I still might if I get the courage.

It’s a close call between my Maybelline Dream Matte foundation and mascara (I’ve yet to find the perfect one….15 years of searching!). Can I have both please?
