Run Eat Repeat

The Best Workout Playlist for Fall Sweating

Hi! How’s it going?

Over here it’s 100 degrees. That didn’t stop me from running, it just stopped me from running at a decent pace.

streets of palm springs (376x502)

This is an egg sandwich. I ate it. (This is some quality writing up in RERland, I hope I get a Pulitzer for this post.)

egg sandwich breakfast (600x800)

After breakfast I realized I had the worst bloody knee and I rushed to grab my purse and head to the Emergency Room for stitches!!!!

I freaked out until I realized it was really Sriracha. True story.

dramatic

And just when I started to get hungry for lunch I got a great delivery… Tina sent me an Edible Arrangement and it made my day!! I’ve always wanted one of these.

edible arrangements (800x600)

The ones on the far right are dark and white chocolate covered bananas and it’s like a little bit of Heaven.

The weather in SoCal is still HOT HOT HOT! I’m patiently waiting for Fall but it’s not happening. Oh well. At least I have a killer running playlist to distract me from the fact that I am indeed drowning in my own sweat.

running playlist for fall

Here is a list of the best songs to workout to right now…

Running Playlist for Fall

1. Shake It Off by Taylor Swift

2. Anaconda by Nicki Minaj

3. Black Widow by Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora

4. Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj

5. All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor

Question: What was the last song you added to your list?

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

I added Shake It Off and a handful of others a few weeks ago.
      Maps – Maroon 5
Bang Bang – Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki
Fancy – Iggy Azalea (that song deserves an award just for the Clueless video)
Love Runs Out – One Republic

Love when I hit shuffle and a new song comes on!

I could literally go on for days about my workout playlist. I don’t run with music, but I put up new playlists on my blog every week which are totally awesome for running, I use them for strength work in my house. I definitely see a correlation between awesome music and good form in my workouts. Not sure how that works, but it does.

I think my favorite recent addition is: Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. It’s the cutest song and I dare ya not to shake it a little bit when it comes on!

(I was the only person in the gym, by the way.)

I am sriracha obsessed… it’s the best condiment, as far as I’m concerned!

Every single one of those songs is currently on my playlist. I recently added Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries”, and I love it! It gets me in a weird pumped up zone for the gym haha.

100 degrees sounds awful!! It has cooled down in the midwest…so I am loving running right now. Great playlist for fall!! Fun music might help the ridiculously hot weather!

I am SO not all about that bass right now. There’s something about the sound of her voice that makes me cringe just a little bit. But I am digging that Chandelier song or something by Sia?

I love Taylor’s new song but it seriously gets stuck in my head for days. I hope it cools down in Cali for you soon – It’s definitely not fun to run in 100+ temps!

I am in the process of updating my playlist for my two upcoming halves.
      Recent additions include: (don’t judge…..)
Shake it Off – Taylor Swift
      Arlandria – Foo Fighters
      Scar Tissue – RHCP
Come As You Are – Nirvana
      Bridge Burning – Foo Fighters

For this particular cycle, I seem to be heavy on the Foo, RHCP, Switchfoot and not too much Pop stuff. Last year it was pop heaven. Whatever. I only use the music if I am by myself and need some motivation.
