Hi! How’s it going?
Over here it’s 100 degrees. That didn’t stop me from running, it just stopped me from running at a decent pace.
This is an egg sandwich. I ate it. (This is some quality writing up in RERland, I hope I get a Pulitzer for this post.)
After breakfast I realized I had the worst bloody knee and I rushed to grab my purse and head to the Emergency Room for stitches!!!!
I freaked out until I realized it was really Sriracha. True story.
And just when I started to get hungry for lunch I got a great delivery… Tina sent me an Edible Arrangement and it made my day!! I’ve always wanted one of these.
The ones on the far right are dark and white chocolate covered bananas and it’s like a little bit of Heaven.
The weather in SoCal is still HOT HOT HOT! I’m patiently waiting for Fall but it’s not happening. Oh well. At least I have a killer running playlist to distract me from the fact that I am indeed drowning in my own sweat.
Here is a list of the best songs to workout to right now…
Running Playlist for Fall
1. Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
2. Anaconda by Nicki Minaj
3. Black Widow by Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora
4. Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj
5. All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor
Question: What was the last song you added to your list?
Kristen Grimes says
I just added Phoenix by Fall Out Boy and Ohemgeee – I absolutely LOVE it!!!

Maps – Maroon 5

Love when I hit shuffle and a new song comes on!
Deborah Brooks @ Confessions of a Mother Runner says
I’ve been looking for new music too! I really didn’t want to like the Taylor Swift song but I can’t get it out of my head!

Melissa K. says
Last song I remember downloading for my running playlist is “Wiggle” by Jason Derulo… Its kinda retarded but so catchy! Lol 🙂
Tricia says
Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off is the last song I added! I’m seriously addicted to it!
Kathryn @ Chicks Dig Running says
I could literally go on for days about my workout playlist. I don’t run with music, but I put up new playlists on my blog every week which are totally awesome for running, I use them for strength work in my house. I definitely see a correlation between awesome music and good form in my workouts. Not sure how that works, but it does.
I think my favorite recent addition is: Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. It’s the cutest song and I dare ya not to shake it a little bit when it comes on!
The Silent Assassin says
You know I know my ish! Turnt up!
Habits – Tove Lo (the dance version)
Big Girls – Sia
Elastic Heart – Sia
Rather Be – Clean Bandit feat Jess Glynne
Trumpets – Jason Derulo
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
oh man, I am obsessed with Shake it Off! why is all of tay’s music SO DANG CATCHY?!
Cassie says
Animals by Maroon 5.
I should be embarrassed by my dancing in the gym on Saturday. But i’m not.
(I was the only person in the gym, by the way.)
runeatrepeat says
If you’re the only one there then it’s totally cool 🙂

Sarah @ KS Runner says
I’m loving the new Taylor Swift song. It’s so dang catchy!
Marcia @MomWifeFitnessLIFE says
I have all those songs on my playlist too. 🙂
Tracy @ sprinklesandsquats says
I am sriracha obsessed… it’s the best condiment, as far as I’m concerned!
Every single one of those songs is currently on my playlist. I recently added Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries”, and I love it! It gets me in a weird pumped up zone for the gym haha.
Leslie @ Life Begins @ 30? says
100 degrees sounds awful!! It has cooled down in the midwest…so I am loving running right now. Great playlist for fall!! Fun music might help the ridiculously hot weather!
Sarah @RunGingerRun says
I’m totally loving all those songs too right now! Must be a ginger thing…
Natalie @ Never Serious Blog says
That’s my favorite edible arrangement box! Dip EVERYTHING in chocolate
Linda @ Fit Fed and Happy says
I am SO not all about that bass right now. There’s something about the sound of her voice that makes me cringe just a little bit. But I am digging that Chandelier song or something by Sia?
Kelly M says
Me too!!!! Hate all about the bass . Haaaaaate it.
Kelsie says
That looks almost exactly like mine! Great picks.
FYI – the video for the #1 is Meghan and not Taylor.
Becky @ Olives n Wine says
I love Taylor’s new song but it seriously gets stuck in my head for days. I hope it cools down in Cali for you soon – It’s definitely not fun to run in 100+ temps!
Amanda @ Slimplify Life says
Get Low – Lil Jon
….a little throwback there for ya!
Suegene says
I am in the process of updating my playlist for my two upcoming halves.
Recent additions include: (don’t judge…..)
Shake it Off – Taylor Swift
Arlandria – Foo Fighters
Scar Tissue – RHCP
Come As You Are – Nirvana
Bridge Burning – Foo Fighters
For this particular cycle, I seem to be heavy on the Foo, RHCP, Switchfoot and not too much Pop stuff. Last year it was pop heaven. Whatever. I only use the music if I am by myself and need some motivation.
Wendy says
i’m still stuck on Summer by Calvin Harris ! 🙂
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I just downloaded “what are you waiting for” by Nickleback. I love it. Very much a rock anthem. 🙂
Carolyne Kay says
I need to add shake it off to my play list! every time i listen to it, it makes me want to jam out, which prob means it’ll happen in the middle of a run #noshame
