This morning I stuck to my plan of either eating or exercising within an hour of waking. I wanted to take a 9:30am class at the gym so I made breakfast, a proper breakfast if you will…
Oatmeal: 1/3c oats, soy milk, chia seeds, vanilla, salt, stevia, banana. Topped with raisins, pumpkin butter and almond butter.
But – I got caught up in some blog maintenance (did anyone notice I was messing with it last night?) and was too late. Boo.
Instead I did some sit-ups and arm moves in my living room. Then, I went out for a 2 mile run and a 2 mile walk back on my fave 4 mile route 🙂 (I could have kept running, but I am really trying to take it easy on my knee and run 3 days a week – this was more of a jog?)
That route reminds me of where I run in Marco Island, FL. The turn around point has an apartment building with a name similar to a hotel. Ben’s family has a time share in Marco and we go every year. I’m already looking forward to it!
Question of the Day: Do you have a yearly vacation you always do? Do you have a vacation planned for this year yet?? Tell me so I can live vicariously 🙂
Ben and I love to travel and we usually don’t exchange presents for Christmas or Birthdays, but go on trips instead. Since we were in MD this year (and both afraid of the cold) we didn’t do any good road trips like we used to do in CA. But – we are hoping to go somewhere cool for our anniversary 🙂 TBD

I’m studying abroad this summer – so I’ll be traveling all over Europe, the Middle East and North Africa with the semester at sea program. I can’t wait!

I usually travel to Frankfurt every October for the international book fair (I work in publishing). The fair itself is five days long, but I usually try to stay at least ten days, so I can do a bit of looking around and use all that German I studied.

Vegas baby! We’re going for our anniversary this year (May 31). It will most likely be our only vacation this year because we’re going to be “trying” after we get back. I picked Vegas because it’s the only place I would hate to visit if I were pregnant and couldn’t drink! Gotta get one last party (and hangover) out of the way right?

Oh, I’m jealous of that!

I think I am travelling more this summer than I have in quite a while! I’m planning on going to Denver, Orlando and eastern Montana! I’m looking forward to spending time with different people in all three places (and getting out of Wisconsin for a while)!

My husband and I always go on at least two vacations. This year it’s going to be Aruba (in 2 weeks, yay!!) and San Fran. I love traveling! 😀

That’s a good idea to forgo gifts and do vacations instead. We went on a vacation last summer to visit the bf’s parents in NY. It was…stressful…
Other than that, we’ve never been on a vacation together.

My husband and I love to travel somewhere every year. We have been to Mexico a bunch of times and last year for our 10yr anniversary (!) we went to Ireland, which was amazing. But alas, now I am preggo and will have to wait until next year to take a trip. Hopefully to Costa Rica for his cousin’s wedding!

Fingers crossed, I might be going to Brazil in May!

We need to get out of our travel rut…. but at least we got somewhere I guess. We have 2 long vacations we do almost every year. Cape Cod during the summer because we have family with a house there that we use, so it is a FREE place to stay and in a beautiful spot. The other is the FL Keys, my mom & stepdad go there each winter for a couple of weeks so we hang with them and then do our own thing.

We don’t usually do the same vacations more than once unless it’s somewhere that family lives. Between your Marco Island reference and Angela’s Naples trip, I’m starting to get a little nostalgiac for my high school days in Naples. I’ll be going to Florida in May for my mom’s birthday so hopefully that will help. 🙂

I wish I had a yearly vacation I do but costs make it difficult. I try and go somewhere for my birthday every year (January). This year I went to Bend, Oregon which is a GREAT winter place! We went snowshoeing and had a fantastic time.

We don’t vacation nearly as often as I’d like. And I regret that the five childless years we had when we were first married weren’t spent traveling more. This year, with my husband being deployed, my daughter and I are going to spend 2 weeks with my family in Florida this July. It’s hardly a “vacation” but it’s at least a change of scenery.

We’re going to Florida next week for our vacation! Can’t wait!

We always go to NYC for 1 day in the summer and 1 in the winter to meet friends. I wish it were something more exciting but vacation is vacation
