A Girl and Her Cat, A Photo Journal or Running Blog… Whatever

Running· What Runners Eat

Hello! This is your local Monican and Vegas. Last night he decided to crawl on my lap and steal my body heat.

And then I had a revelation that will change my life! (‘Change my life’ in that I’m going to eat more and worry about it less.)

thick thighs get guys

We woke up like this:

my cat hates me (600x800)

Then, we changed. Well, I changed, Vegas’ fashion stays the same year ‘round…

a girl and her cat (600x800) i want to be a cat cat turtle kitties

Since I am 2 days post-marathon I drove to a flat route to get in a shake out run. I wanted to run, but didn’t want to push it.

Breakfast: Eggs, SRIRACHA, tortilla and that new greek yogurt dip from TJ’s that I love. Plus and apple and sunflower seed butta. Oh, and I just realized I full on had a seltzer with breakfast. I have a problem.

Lunch!

epic lunch salad (800x600)

Dinner: TBD but I feel like I should load up on curly fries and pizza since I want all the kittens on my lap…

Question: What are you having for dinner?

Got home late from my appointment with the Chinese physician last night and since it was late for a full meal, dinner was some local version of Ryvita with PB, handful cashew nuts and Hersheys chocolate flavoured soy milk (this is good stuff!).

Cranberry quinoa salad with grilled romaine lettuce…. Was so good!

Husband had chicken fried rice, which is his favorite meal of all time.

Meatballs and sauteed spinach. Random, but it was delicious. Also, homemade cinnamon swirl pumpkin protein fro yo. Considering more food too because I can’t stop eating.

I had leftover chicken with spinach and mushrooms 🙂 I think we’re having chili for dinner tomorrow since the temperature is supposed to drop and be freaking freezing in NC 🙁

We had comfort food tonight. It’s BITTER cold in Iowa tonight and we’re kinda broke right now. My sweet husband made Biscuits with Sausage Gravy tonight. It was so good to come home to dinner being made after my volunteer job and a 3 mile run at the gym. ♥

The eternal question! I have no idea what we’re having for dinner – and I really should because it’s already 6 here…

My dad has a smoker and likes to use it whenever possible. My husband and I are in town, so we are going to go over for some smoked prime rib. The only problem is that I am hungry now and we wont eat for another 2 hours!

I’m thinking chicken salad. But I’ll be doing a supermarket run after the gym so my dinner choice might change.

I might just be having oatmeal for dinner. no desire to cook. Last night i made boiled turkey and white rice for the dog (he’s had tummy issues) and just ate some of that.

At least I had a piece of fruit and a salad with lunch today.
