I had four super ripe bananas that were screaming to be made into banana bread. Actually, one of them abandoned ship and fell off my banana hammock it was so ripe!
This is an old pic of my banana hammock with ripe naners, to illustrate the fact that I like saying banana hammock…
Even though my banana hammock is not as cute as this one…
Anyways, I searched the web for an easy recipe and went to town. I used this Simply Recipes page for it. I basically followed it exactly except I used half brown sugar and half regular. But – it wasn’t that sweet?
I eat the batter. I want to say it’s because I use Eggland’s Best eggs and if you can’t eat $4.00 eggs what can you eat? But, I would eat it either way.
I am sending this bread with Ben to take to work. But, I wanted to taste it of course so I used my tried and true baking trick – bake a few muffins on the side!
But, they needed something…what could that something be? Hmmm 😉
I hope Ben’s co-workers like this because he is actually begrudgingly taking it. He says no one brings anything in to work ever and thinks it will be weird.
Do people bring stuff into your work?
I worked in the best office in CA and we always had food in the kitchen and potlucks and stuff!
***My eats are not documented today because they were disastrous. Boo. I didn’t plan out the day well and ended up snacking and snacking and snacking. I need to start my May Challenge over tomorrow. I have to plan my snacks and stick to it! Because this is not cool.

I came across your internet site after making a search in Bing and yahoo, and I need to say it does include a lot of quite good information which I found equally interesting and helpful.

GOSH thanks so much for that LOVELY image…that I can never get out of my brain. 😉
My office is filled with junk food. Always. It’s frustrating too. Donuts, candy, bagels…ugh!

I Loooove banana bread! You can send some to my office!!
My office has a cook out for lunch every day in the summer.. no joke! It’s pretty nice, but I usually don’t eat it because I feel bad eating if I don’t contribute–and well, I don’t cook, so that means I don’t have anything to bring!

I had to do a food project for school and I picked banana nut muffins. I probably ate 20 of those suckers in a week. You’d think I’d be over banana bread, but I just got a little hungry looking at your pics!

WHAT ARE THE ODDS??!?!?!?!
I made the same recipe a couple of days ago!!!!
Question: How long did you bake the muffins for? I would like to make them all muffins next time!
runeatrepeat says
The muffins were quick – about 15 minutes or so 🙂

Anytime I bake bread, I make it in muffin form. I am notorious for “straightening edges” on a loaf of bread! Looks delicious!

I love baking goodies and bringing them into work, and sending them with my hubby. As long as the food is good everyone seems to like having treats in the break room!

When my husband isn’t deployed, I make treats for him to bring to his office on a weekly basis. Sometimes twice a week. I love to bake and his co workers really look forward to it.
I’m sure Ben’s coworkers will love your banana bread. Who wouldn’t appreciate a homemade goodie?
Catherine says
Oh I’m sure all his office peeps are just gonna haaaaaaaate it! Hah! If no one brings anything in, all the more reason he’s going to be the most popular guy at the coffee maker tomorrow.

Yum! I miss my old office in LA, we used to have treats all the time. Here in Mozambique, no one ever brings food for anything. I got a piece of cake once for someone´s last day that they brought in themselves, but for some reason sour (yes, sour) frosting is popular so the rare piece of cake is nowhere near as exciting as it used to be!!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

Almond butter makes everything better! My office doesn’t have stuff lying around (we don’t really have a kitchen) but it’s totally cool (and everyone will love you) if you bring stuff in. And re: too much snackage today, I just always tell myself “it’ never too late to start over”. You CAN start over tomorrow. Good luck 🙂

We always have food at work, but whenever I bake I send it to school with my husband. Starving college students never turn down food that I don’t want to keep in the house for fear of devouring it all!

I always bring goodies to work. They love it! I’m sure they will love the banana bread too 😉

I always have people begging for me to bake banana bread for them. They must really like it!
Tomorrow is a brand new day bringing new opportunities for healthy eats!

How does no one bring anything to his office?! I interned with an office of only females, there was ALWAYS food! LOL

My office in Phoenix was great, we would have potlocks, salsa contests, ice cream, etc.
Here? Not so much. I am one of the annoying people who pawns off chocolate onto others since I can’t keep it in my house. We do have a quarter end lunch each quarter and an occasional coffee but I would say thats it.

I looooooove banana bread! That’s so sweet of you!
When I was working at the investment bank, I would bring things in every so often and people loved it! It would be gobbled up in a matter of minutes. haha

I had the same kind of day today in regards to my eating. But I keep reminding myself that tomorrow is a new day! And I love the tip of baking muffins on the side! Can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that. 🙂

OMG that picture! Hahaha. I like that trick.. baking some muffins to taste test. Good idea. I don’t bring stuff into work because I don’t think anyone would want to eat it!
