Burny Burny Cut Cut Part II

Hello! How was week 2 of Pile on the Miles Challenge? You have one more day to get in those miles. Do it.

pile on the miles check in friday favorites (450x800)

I did a shake out run but my left baby cow calf calve is so super tight it’s crazy. I got a massage, but think I need a sports massage to really get the spot.

crazy hair time (600x800)

Breakfast was oatmeal with tons of toppings. I’m all about the toppings for oatmeal and fro-yo. And sometimes pizza, but mostly I keep pizza simple. Anyway. Now I want pizza.

Back to breakfast… I have recently come to an epiphany that I want to be healthy to feel good and prevent illness and disease. I’m sad about my Aunt and another close family member being sick. There is no cure for cancer but I want to try and prevent it as much as possible.

Vegas is not feeling me today, or ever. So he’s not my friend today.

hes just not that into you (450x800)

Now to explain the title of this post…

A million years ago Ben and I used to joke about playing “Burny Burny Cut Cut” which was from some movie I totally don’t remember.  I do remember it was basically someone who enjoyed torturing someone else with a little burn / cut game.

I looked it up and it was the movie Year One.

year one

Well, I got a tragic paper CUT today while cooking dinner.

Then, I got a steam BURN. It was like back to back injuries. And so I started saying I got a burny burny cut cut and had to look it up to put the joke in context.

Turns out I wrote a blog post with that title in 2010! Ha! And it was about how I got a bad chafing cut from my running belt after running a 16 miler.

HA!!!! That is so weird to see this.

Luckily dinner still turned out great! I got a Blue Apron delivery this week and it was AMAZING. Seriously. I might go sneak the leftovers right now.

Ok I really do love your blog but PLEASE no more pics of cuts, scratches, blood, roadkill, etc. I get that you find it funny/random, but I read your blog for actual running and fitness advice and these gross unecessary tidbits ruin my experience as a reader. I love reading about your life and I enjoy your sense of humor! Just not the gross-out pics – I’m eating over here!! (Barf)

I ran 4.5 miles this morning and walked 2.5. I am almost at 30k steps for the day. I made the two ingredient brownies and took them to work today. They were a big hit. I need all of these miles for all of the brownies I ate. I am a weight watcher and they are pretty low in points! Score!
