California Running

It is definitely all sunshine and lollipops here in SoCal today. I think it supposed to hit around 90 again today! Crazy.

Marathon Training: This morning I woke up early to get in a run. I did 9 miles in 1:18: 16 – I was booking it and felt great the whole time. My body loves the dry heat 🙂

After the run I had to rush because Matt had a soccer game at 9am. I made a quick Green Monster with protein powder for recovery. IMG_1791

And had a bowl of these Cheerios. I actually really like these, but eating them feels like eating air. I am not even a drop full after a bowl of these.IMG_1790

I ate a kiwi “skin style” at the game. But, I was still hungry…IMG_1793

Post-Game we made a Jamba Juice stop. I am “Powered by Jamba Juice” (per my license plate holder) and love this place!IMG_1795

But 2 smoothies and some airy cereal do not fill me up post 9 mile run. So, I had toast with almond butter when we got home. All better. IMG_1797

Marathon Training – Injury Prevention: I am currently icing my ankle. It’s been very tender when I try to rotate it or point my toes down. I’m going to try and do the whole R.I.C.E method to help nurse it back to 100%.

I LOVE apple cinnamon Cheerios! They would be one of my most fave cereals!

We had chilly, breezy weather here with fall colors. I’m glad that you’re enjoying your time with your family and the warm weather!

Hey, I’ve been reading your blog for a while and thought I should comment because it’s thoroughly enjoyable!

What is that attachment to your magic bullet?? Mine only has the party cups! I always get frustrated because I can’t add things to it while it’s blending, which makes it hard to add bulky spinach! I had to buy a whole new blender!

It is so hot here in southern California. I was running in Santa Monica this morning, and I swear it was like 90 degrees at 9 in the morning. Too bad you aren’t staying longer, I would ask if you want to meet up and run sometime!
