Chinese Food Salad and Selma

My Life· What Runners Eat

19 Jan

Hello! I am just getting home from a lil time with my fam. We took advantage of Martin Luther King Jr. Day to watch the movie Selma.

Of course we had to share popcorn (read: ‘share’ as me hogging all of it). I love popcorn. I am completely aware it’s like eating a cheeseburger and fries and I care 0%.

Before the movie I raided my fam’s massive fridge. My dad had some epic leftover Chinese food. Seriously, how is this what’s leftover – how big was the platter to begin with? More importantly, how soon can I eat at that place?!

There was also some fancy noodle dish and leftover beans. Always beans up in here. I made a Chinese Food Salad because that’s how I do.

Hey, I want a refund on this avocado – the whole thing is a seed!

The last time we were walking Bailey I heard a little kid say, “Mom is that a cow dog?”

Basically, yes.

Question: Did you work today? Do school work? Work out?

That avocado made me inappropriately laugh on the quiet car of the train. I vote for refund!

I am totally with you on the popcorn thing. It is literally disgusting how much I can put down. Literally the only reason I go to movies. 🙂

My work is open 24/7. Someone has to take care of the sick! But I scheduled myself off since I needed a rest day after my half marathon.

I did none of the above. I went to my house in Venice, visited the Groves and bought ALL the oranges! Epic day.

Movie theatre popcorn is amazing! It almost never makes it past the previews.

We were open for the holiday. Everyone I know was rubbing it in that they had a day off when it was 60 degrees in January! How was Selma?

I want to see Selma, but today we are going to see American Sniper and it will probably be a workout day, too.

Yes. I worked. It sucked at first but once I was there I was ok with it. I hardly ever have to work on holidays.
I love putting stuff over a bed of greens. Especially arugula or baby spinach. Sneaking in extra veggies. 🙂

I had off of school, and did some school work, baked some breakfast food for school, and watched a little Netflix. Looks like you had a fun day!

I didn’t worj yesterday. I still got up and went to the gym by 6. An hour later than usual. Had to be at PT early for my ankle injury so it just made sense to get it done.
