Chocolate Monster

Dinner· Lunch

12 Dec

I felt like the Chocolate Monster all day today! I could not get enough chocolate! When this happens I usually just go with it because you can’t fight the monster.

I started with these Andes mints. They were on sale and a really random buy, but I like them because they remind me of a restaurant from my kid-hood.IMG_3161

After digging into this Kashi bar I realized the monster would not be stopped.IMG_3155

So, I stalled it with hot chocolate. This method works okay for at least slowing the chocolate monster’s roll.IMG_3160

I roasted brussel sprouts and onions for dinner. Now I stink. I’m afraid I am going to smell like onions on my run tomorrow. Good thing I run alone! Gross.IMG_3158

I love brussel sprouts so this really was a “Bowl full of Jolly” for me 🙂 IMG_3157*I ate a bunch of cheese and crackers while roasting my veggies, which is why this dinner seems a little lop-sided 🙂

Oh duh, I ate lunch today. It was a turkey wrap with an apple.IMG_3153

And Stacy’s Pita Crumbs…IMG_3152Emphasis on the crumbs. For some reason Ben hates the crumbs and always accuses me of smashing the chips. I guess he doesn’t understand that the bottom of the bag is always crumbs?IMG_3151

I have a long run planned for tomorrow mornning. In the cold. Wish me luck. And warmth 🙂

I love Andes! They used to give them out at this Chinese restaurant we would go to when I was little. Weird right? No fortune cookies at that place!

Good luck on your run. Pretend your running on the beach 🙂

I love Andes! They remind me of Olive garden, which I love for the breadsticks!

Chocolate and mint is such a great combination!

Thats funny Karla… they are totally Olive Garden. The worst is when restaurants give out those plain mint balls the size of a pebble. Who wants those.

Do you use spices for the brussel sprouts? I try to roast them and they never taste good or look like yours. What temp and how long? Help!
P.S. You’ll kick ass tomorrow on your run. You always do.

I love andes, they remind me of my kid hood too, my dad always used to buy them.

I like the idea of 25 calorie hot chocolate, but I find it’s very hard to dissolve. Sugar free is the same way, but a little more dissolvable.

Good luck on your run!! Think warm thoughts!! Have you ever thought about getting hand or feet warmers for cold runs? The might not last the whole time, but they are worth a shot!
