Know a runner? Are you a runner? (Send this to your peeps as a hint, hint)
Here’s a gift guide for the runner in your life that… has everything, is a newbie, likes to laugh and more… hopefully this list hits all the bases and gives you some great gift ideas for any and all of the runners you know.
The Best Gift Ideas for Every Kind of Runner…
For the new runner…
a subscription to a running magazine like Women’s Running or Runner’s World. Or a book (or audiobook) about running. My friend Lisa’s Your Pace or Mine is a fun read that’s not a ‘how to run’ style book, but more tales from her miles.
For the runner who has everything…
The Runner Box is a gift box delivered to your favorite (or 2nd favorite) runner’s house. It’s packed with new products and samples specifically geared to runners (there’s also a cycle box).
For the runner who logs miles on the treadmill…
Help them beat treadmill boredom with a subscription to Audible. A monthly subscription lets your treadmill runner choose a new book every month. You can start them off with a great running book like Born to Run, they can download it and use Audible for free to listen.
For the runner with a lot of boogers…
Mittens made specifically to wipe up your snot – Snittens. It’s kind of marketed as a gag gift, but I think it’s a good idea!
For the runner with a sense of humor…
A funny t-shirt or running book like C is for Chafing. Mark Remy, the author of C is for chafing is a super funny writer for Runner’s World.
For the runner who does a lot of races…
If the runner in your life is doing a lot of races and racking up those race medals you should get them a medal hanger to display them. I have an awesome display hanger from SportHooks. They sell a Run Eat Repeat design, and there are so many fun / inspirational / themed options.
If they already have a medal hanger I think a pair of ProCompression socks is a great gift. It’s an item I originally didn’t think was for me, but once I tried them I became all about them to help recovery.
For the runner who loves gadgets…
The Lumo Tech is a small clip that can analyze your running form and give you feedback.

For the runner who loves a good adult beverage… (me)
This fun wine glass is engraved with popular race distances.
For the runner you worry about when they’re out…
Running is fun but if you’re worried about your fave runner’s safety consider getting them a Revolar so they can alert you if they’re in danger.
For the runner you love…
Running inspired jewelry to that special runner in your life. A 26.2 necklace (there’s also 13.1) or shoe charm is a sweet gift. Or just buy her the ring and propose already!

4 evening miles! I thonk my pace is starting to normalize, yaaay! But I coughed for like 20 mins after I finished. Baby steps.

A hydration belt for sure!

Top of my wishlist are vouchers for some seriously swanky activewear. I’d love to have some Sweaty Betty or Lululemon workout kit. Sadly my parents always want to buy me “girly” stuff which apparently doesn’t cover running kit. So it might be a treat yo’ self kinda purchase!

Oh man, I’d LOVE the Runner’s Box. It’s like many gifts in one gift! And those mittens – need. My nose was actually dripping while I was running today.

I really want a hydration pack for Christmas. Or a subscription to a runner box. Both would be awesome. Or maybe the Nike Areoloft Flash Vest. It’s super expensive though but super reflective.

I want to try Hoka sneakers. I would love if a family member got me a pair. Otherwise I’m set.

I’m hoping for a gps /heart rate watch. I run with my phone but there’s no good way to monitor pace mid-run with it, and even when I’m using a machine the built in HR monitor doesn’t work well for me. Today was a rest-ish day. I did 15 minutes on the rowing machine at lunch simply to get away from my coworkers and clients for a little bit. That was all for the day though.

6 mile run this morning

Rest day! My Achilles is creaking….does that happen to anyone else? Might try a long run tomorrow but I’ll see what my Achilles has to say (or creak) first.

Check in! Going to get in 2 miles after work today.
