Cloudy With A Chance Of Wet Run

24 Oct

I just checked the forecast for tomorrow and there is a 30% chance of rain at 6am and then it jumps to 50% at 7am and goes up from there! So, there is a very good chance I will get rained on during my long run tomorrow 🙁 Boo. I am planning on 17 miles. I will report back tomorrow with actual distance and time 🙂

Dinner was Chinese take-out! I love Chinese food (and Thai and Japanese!). I used to joke that I should have been born Asian because I will never turn down any of those types of restaurants. And I will always choose that over Mexican (I am a traitor).

We ordered garlic eggplant to share and I stole two of Ben’s sweet and sour shrimp.IMG_1955

I also got vegetables and tofu in a brown sauce. This place doesn’t have white rice 🙁 but they have so many vegetarian options & are so close we still go there often.IMG_1954

I just had a square of dark chocolate. Chinese food fuels my long runs, dark chocolate fuels my soul. Now I am ready to settle down for some “Lost” action. See you guys tomorrow.

Oh, and regarding my tattoo…it’s not a “tramp stamp”! It’s a flame on my left hip 😉

I’m starting my Christmas wish list (I will add to it as I think of things):

Dear Santa,

Please bring me a warming toilet seat because I pee a lot (seriously, a lot) and it’s really torturous to freeze my ass in the middle of the night.

Love,

Monica

Just so we’re even…. I’m Asian (half Japanese) and will *always* choose Mexican food over anything Asian.

Good luck on the run. I hope the rain holds off. I’m not a fan of running in the rain, but as long as it’s not too cold or windy, I can soldier on.

I love the toilet seat idea! What a difference that would make!

Wow, I didn’t even know they had warming toilet seats. It’s one of those inventions that make you think “why didn’t I think of that?!”. So simple. I hope the rain will hold off for you!

I wish I had a tatto on my hip instead of…a TRAMP STAMP! Ugh, I mean I like it, it’s cute. I put a lot of thought into it. It’s just a permanant reminder of what a stupid teenager I was. I also have another one on my ankle. I am a walking tattoo cliche.

Okay, so what the hell is your costume?!

When I was newly vegetarian, I ate Chinese at least 3 times per week! My co-workers always ordered out so I wanted to feel included. I loved vegetable lo-mein but the oil and soba noodles make it pretty calorically dense. It was only $2.50 though! I also liked the tofu with steamed veggies that was smothered in a yummy teriyaki-ish sauce. Mmmmmm

Okay, You are never going to believe me, but warming toliet seats are super popular here in Japan. They have them almost everywhere. My work even has them. They are the best. I’m like, “Oooh I gotta pee… Mmmm heat!”

Hahahahah I laughed out loud at the toilet seat comment. I pee every 15 minutes and it is damn cold this time of year. Worse in February. A heated toilet seat would be great.

Yummy chinese food 🙂 I have never made tofu but I ALWAYS get tofu with my chinese food 🙂 regarding your last post, I am the same way about goals but with me part of not telling people goals is fear they will think it’s stupid or won’t work out 🙁
Santa should bring you a fuzzy toilet seat cover! then it’ll be warm and it’ll feel good on your tushy! 🙂

Good luck on the run! Some people love the rain when they’re out there. I don’t understand that
