Last night I went to a cookie exchange hosted by my friend Pam. We met at a blogger meet up this summer and is the best! She lives in the nicest house I’ve ever seen and had it decorated up beautifully!
Since Pam lives an hour away I carpooled with these girls. I spent the whole 67 minutes in the car trying to convince them to be my best friends and exchange BFF necklaces. I know exactly how long the ride was because SR said it was the longest 67 minutes of her life.
We all brought cookies, but Pam had a whole spread of food out too.
She had a special punch that I loved. I think there’s Gatorade and 151 in it? I can’t confirm that.
The girls: Chacha, Heather and Skinny Runner
After food time it was COOKIE TIME!!!
I made those crappy chocolate cookies with cake mix. Sorry everyone.
Surprisingly, Skinner Runner made awesome PB cup cookies. Now I want to know how she stays so skinny with those baking skills!!!
Heather made Pumpkin Spice cookies with brown butter icing. I ate 3. Yeah, 3 with a zero on the end…
Oh no! I just realized I forgot my cup at Pam’s!
Cookie Parties are about eating cookies.
Besides carb loading, what to runners do at parties?
Talk about running!
We moved the party to the family room and watched Spirit of the Marathon (with a funny running commentary.)
Watching this movie never gets old. I love it
Finally I had to head home to the slums. I’m glad I carpooled since it was a long dark drive! Plus SR took care of the tolls Thanks!
Question: How many cookies have you eaten in this year?
This makes me so excited for the cookie exchange at work I have been planning… Now if I can only sneak some of that punch into the fray…
What a fun time and OMG Pam’s house is beautiful and big!
For me to know the actual answer to how many cookies I’ve eaten so far this year would be absurd. Let’s just say one per day to be safe…
Aren’t cookie exchanges the best? I went to an amazing one last year and had a blast…and left totally STUFFED. 🙂
I love spirit of the marathon!! I saw it for the first time and the cinema and almost cried when the guy hurt his knee! A real ‘runner’ tear jerker. I like to play it before races.
Also I like your red sweater. As a fellow redhead i am weary of wearing red, but you look nice 🙂
I don’t want to talk about it. 😉
I can’t talk about it (since my mouth is full)…
That party looks like so much fun! I’m pretty sure I’ve consumed way too many cookies to count this year!!
I have eaten a lot of cookies! I was practicing making different types of cookies for a cookie exchange so of course I had to sample each one. SR’s cookies look awesome – love peanut butter cups!
ok im jealous. I want to go to a cookie party…
Haha. Great end question! Probably 300 +
HOLY COW, can Pam invite me to the party next time?? What a gorgeous house!! I really just want to plop on one of those comfy-looking ottomans in that last photo–they’re huge!
Our running commentary was seriously the best part of the evening. You are a funny chica!
I’ve written a formal complaint to Continental and John Wayne Airport for preventing my attendance. Everything looks so dang good! Jeal. Major.
See you in a few – I’ve got my “special” gatorade brewing…
Oh, a million cookies have been consumed I’m sure. 😛
Her house is gorgeous! And I want all of those couches.
Umm…can I plead the fifth since I’m supposed to be eating clean? LOL!
Now brownies…I’ve been eating those a bit…heh. Guess that’s still not clean is it?
I love those couches…I would never run if I had couches like that 😉
Holiday cookies? Zero (so far)
Cookies this year? 30? I have no idea, lol. I really don’t think I’ve eaten that many cookies.
All I have to say is that I am so jealous. I need to move to Cali asap.
Damn. Now I want a cookie. And to possibly uproot to Cali to try and mingle with my fav bloggers. Maybe I’ll just stalk y’alls blogs and eat cookies… sounds like a good compromise to me 🙂
WHAT a beautiful house and nice looking gals and cookies too!
I have absolutely no idea 😉 Although to be fair, I haven’t eaten the majority of the total amount yet. December is cookie time!
that punch looks amazing!! i want to see spirit of the marathon so bad!! that’s a crazy gorgeous house!
Looks like so much fun, yum! Where is Pam’s blog, never see a link in the posts from you or SR….
Thanks Monica! 🙂 I really enjoyed seeing all of you!! A couple had good reasons for not being able to come but, it’s a good excuse for another get together in the New Year!
loved the commentary during the movie. You all are hilarious!! Didn’t know SR has an inner Napoleon Dynamite.
had one of SR’s cookies for breakfast…oops! 🙂 Soo good! Should’ve told you ladies to take ALL of them! danger… 🙂
See you in VEGAS!! It’s going to be chilly! 50’s during the day, low 30’s in the evening. Ms. Kate Gosselin is going to complain the whole time!
Southern California has a nice tail-wind today…Def. PR WITH this crazy wind!! Have a GREAT day my friend!! xo
At least 1000, but i’m not sure how to count up the raw cookie dough?! 😉 runner_girl5k at yahoo dot com
That looks like a blast, mention food I am there 🙂 You have some great friends!!
you didnt know but im actually charging you for the tolls. just wait, ill get my money in vegas. see you tomorrow afternoon?? you better be there!
That room that y’all watched the movie in looks SOOO comfy!
Wow, Pam’s house is totally amazing! That’s what I want my place to look like when I grow up. Love the decorations.
I haven’t had any cookies yet this year. I better get crackin’.
Well snap! That just looks amazing!!!
Ha. I refuse to answer that question. I LOVE cookies. 🙂
Pleading the 5th huh. Smart move 🙂
I heard about the cookie exchange party on SR site yesterday. Hello… I am in the area. 😉
Looks like a fantastic time and I am totally loving Pam’s beautifully decorated house.
BTW, I have not had my over consumption of cookies yet. That comes in a week or two when I bake tons of Russian Tea Cakes and Snickerdoodles with my daughter.
laughed out loud at the end question…hmmm…too many? maybe not enough.
