Do you guys have any big plans for this Easter weekend?
Unfortunately this is the first holiday that Ben and I are flying solo. We’ll just hit up church and lay low Sunday. I did pick up some special dinner supplies for a yummy meal.
Last year I made a cake in the shape of a bunny. And we went to a family party.
Now I want a piece of cake! I better pic up some dessert when I go out. Yum!
After Kickboxing I was hungry and ate an apple on the way to the store.
Shopping hungry is never a good idea because stuff like this may end up in your cart…
When I got back home it was close to 2pm and I ripped into the Food Should Taste Good chips while throwing lunch together.
I made a big salad with chickpeas, hummus and veggies.
And a piece of cheese bread on the side! I just melted a piece of cheese on quinoa bread and put it in the oven for five minutes. So easy and delicious.![]()
Note: I buy the biggest can of chickpeas from Costco and sometimes freeze some of the them for later. The freezing and thawing changes the consistency a bit. The outside seems to peel off on a lot of them and they are squishier. I like them with more “bite” to it, but at least they didn’t go bad!
Everyone is in such a good mood – I think it’s because of Spring Break! I felt celebratory and had a chocolate 🙂
The winner of the Celestial Seasonings Wellness Package is Michelle W.
Good for you! Trying to ditch a soda habit is really hard!!! I have one too! I use a BPA free water bottle (the big one) and try to drink tons of water, and when I get bored with plain water i have some with Emergen-C, or some fresh lime, or some flavored green tea!! Love Celestial Seasonings!! Would love to win! Good luck with your new health change for April!

So what are the big weekend plans around here?
I feel like I should at least dye eggs or something! But, I don’t think baking a cake for just Ben and I is a good idea…so no bunny cake this year…
Youre so cool! I dont suppose Ive learn anything like this before. So good to find anyone with some authentic ideas on this subject. realy thank you for beginning this up. this web site is one thing that’s needed on the net, somebody with slightly originality. helpful job for bringing something new to the web!

This was so fun! I loved reading all your answers and hearing about how you and the hubs met!
Your idea is outstanding, the problem is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. Im very happy that we found this during my search for something relating to this.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Hi everyone, Happy Easter!
Hello there, Happy Easter!!!
Very nice post.i really enjoy the reading. Thanks for sharing the post.
holy crap! that cake you made last year is professional looking!!
Your bunny cake is the cutest! I love coconut and it looks very coconutty! Have a great Easter weekend!
It’s hubby’s birthday on Sunday….not sure what we’re doing yet. We will have a bunch of family in town because his sister just had a baby.
I need a costco card if only for chickpeas.
I can’t wait for easter! I’m chowing down–duh
I laughed when I saw the picture of the Chocolate covered Pom’s, which I ALMOST picked up on my last trip to Costco.
They weren’t handing out samples so I didn’t get to try them, which I’m glad… because I really don’t need them in my life especially a bag of that size!!
I have big plans! my vineyard-owning french family is coming to the states so I’m heading to my aunt and uncle’s house to see everyone! and this is no ordinary house, it is a historic plantation farm house built in 1795. and did I mention my aunt is a gourmet chef? swoon. my french family makes champagne, specifically, so I suppose we’ll decorate eggs while drinking heavily…
we’re on our own too for the first time – hoping to hang out with friends, though! make the most of your holiday, even if it’s just you two 🙂
awwww such an amazing cake. want to make me one? ahahah. i’m not doing anything important here, most people are leaving campus so i’ll likely take this time to recoup from all the stress/sleep deprivation that has been accumulating for me.
but now i really want to dye eggs!
My plans are brunch with the fam. We have no little kids so it’s no fun 🙁
Color eggs!! That’s so cute and fun!!
mmm those choc covered pomegranate seeds look really good! is the pomegranate dehydrated or is it juicy?!
It’s a trick. They use pomegranate juice to be a chewy candy and cover it with chocolate.
My plans are the typical Easter ones, I’m hoping for an Easter basket- wonder if my mom thinks I’m too old?
I made Ben a basket 🙂
OMG! Those chocolate covered pomegranate things are so addictive. We used to have a bag around and we called it chocolate covered crack. You will not be able to put that stuff down.
I don’t celebrate Easter so I imagine my weekend will be the same as every weekend: work out, hang out with the boy, catch up on TV. I am excited about the gym being empty on Sunday!
where did you get those dark chocolate covered pom seeds? I got a tiny container from TJs but this big bag looks more up my alley! I need it!!!!
No that would be dangerous. I ended up putting them back, but I did get to sample them! Ha 🙂
i’m so lame…we’re going to church and then we’re spending Sunday afternoon smoking brisket and making Easter dinner! we are always around others over holidays though and i think it’ll be nice to just be alone with my sweetie!
I hope it will turn out nice to be alone with Ben too 🙂
