Eat part II 11/10/2008

My afternoon snack was a True Delights Toasted Coconut Banana Macadamia Nut granol-y bar. It was good 🙂 I was expecting a fake/too sweet taste and that is not the case at all. foodies-555I came home to find my free sample of Bear Naked granola I signed up for a while back. I love free stuff. I love granola. I reeeeeeally love free granola! foodies-561Dinner was a veggie Italian Sausage on a sprouted wheat bun, brussel sprouts and salad. foodies-560It is freezing over here so I was craving a warm drink. I made some sf hot cocoa and warmed up a VitaTop. These things are like freshly baked cake. I love them.foodies-562

Unfortunately, I did not stop there. Even though I was full I ate a bunch of Kashi trail mix and handfuls of cereal. I need to get in the practice of brushing my teeth after I am done eating for the day. This habit of nighttime snacking is 20 years in the making and I have to make a BIG effort to stop it.

At least Monday is over 🙂 After dinner tomorrow I am going to brush my teeth and be done eating. My countdown to the marathon is getting closer and closer and I need to start treating myself like a healthy athlete instead of an emotional eating mess.

    Seeleelive,
    I think it is because of all of the above habit/boredom/fatigue, but I know once in a while I am actually hungry when I start snacking. For the most part my nighttime snacking is after I have eaten dinner and the snacking doesn’t stop when I’m full.

    Hey 🙂 I found your blog through KERF (faithful readers UNITE!) and really like your outlook. Your comment on nighttime snacking made me smile! I’m glad you don’t beat yourself up for it, and you can joke about it-never take yourself too seriously! Do you eat out of habit/boredom/fatigue, or is it becuase you are not getting enough kcals throughout the day?
