Farewell Pharad

25 Jun

Hello and Happy Friday! This morning I hit up my last Friday KB class with my favorite instructor 🙁 I am on a serious mission to find a similar class in CA – or start teaching one!!!

Right after KB I rushed home to shower and get ready for Ben’s farewell lunch. It’s difficult to find something decent to wear when you’re living out of a suitcase and you already packed your iron. I hope I didn’t look like a tragedy… IMG_9449

Ben has been working for an antenna company called Pharad near BWI. Working for a small company gave him a great opportunity to work closely with the amazingly smart and accomplished people that formed it.

He speaks very highly of everyone and is sad to leave,  especially after making such great friendships, but I’m sure they’ll keep in touch 🙂

We hit up a Thai restaurant in Glen Burnie – Little SpiceIMG_9442

As soon as you sit down they bring you an egg roll. It’s like a Thai bread basket 🙂IMG_9433 (These pics aren’t the best because I didn’t want to embarrass Ben anymore by messing with the settings for 5 hours.)

I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu and extra broccoli. I love spicy food lately and this was the perfect amount of spiciness and flavor!IMG_9434

I don’t know if this is true or not, but I’ve heard it’s called “Drunken Noodles” because it’s a popular hangover cure meal!

Don’t worry, I wasn’t hung over today since I was barely able to get any wine out of the small hole we made in the cork last night 😉 We’re classy. IMG_9437

Dessert is included with the lunch special. This was some kind of tapioca pudding, but I’m not sure on the official name. IMG_9438

Group picture of Ben with his co-workers 🙂 Two of them are from Australia, and one is from Fiji. I can’t believe I think it’s a big deal to move across the country, when these people moved across the WORLD.

Now I must hit up the Post Office to ship some stuff to CA. I still have a very long “To Do” list, but it’ll get done.

It actually just occurred to me today that I never got the chance to do a Blogger Meet-Up in Maryland. If I have a spare second tomorrow I’ll try to throw something together last minute, but we’ll have to see…

Question: Anyone else doing the Sprint Tri in Columbia this weekend? I just found out someone we know is doing it, but I could have sworn I’ve heard it around blog-town too.

Good Luck to all racers this weekend!!!

You wouldn¡¯t believe it but I¡¯ve wasted all day digging for some articles about this. You¡¯re a lifesaver, it was an excellent read and has helped me out to no end. Cheers,

That is such a pretty picture of you!

I can totally see Thai noodles as a hangover food, especially if they go heavy on the oil. Oil + carbs = feeling much better.

Can I have your hair?! I have heard the same thing re: the naming of drunken noodles. Never tried them as a hangover food but I bet they would be perfect!

My husband is doing the sprint tri in Columbia on Sunday! It’s his first triathlon. I think I’m more excited than he is. haha. I’ve never been to witness a triathlon before.

Sounds like you are all ready to move back to California. I am so happy that you are getting to move back to where you want to live. I also have seen that Bobbi from N’Her Shoes does a kick boxing class in California, so if you live near to her then maybe you can go to a class there?? Good Luck with the move and cant wait to see your new home!! 🙂
