Woo! It is HOT out there. The weather in SoCal was so weird this weekend. It rained on Saturday. That is really odd. It might be the end of the world or something. Or maybe the opposite since we have a really really bad drought and we need it. Thank you God for sending us some water.
Saturday’s temperatures were mild due to the rain so I assumed Sunday would be kind of mild. WRONG Monican. It was 90 degrees at 8am and humid (thanks to the rain). Ugh. I cut my run short and went home for some hydration.
It’s almost like I try not to match.
On the way home I stopped for food and grabbed this granola. I’m a granola fiend so I enjoyed some and will give the rest away.
After showering and refueling with an epic breakfast I did a bunch of indulgent errands = nails and waxing.
I have been craving needing chocolate like it’s no body’s business all week (you know how it goes). To keep it in moderation I got some from the bulk bins of the market instead of buying a family size bag of dark chocolate peanut M&Ms like I originally wanted to do.
Laser Hair Removal
Now after about 8 weeks after my final session of laser hair removal I wanted to share an update. Hair grows in cycles so results could have changed a little bit after that last cycle. You can read my Laser Hair Removal Review and Results here.
Today I got waxed and thought, “That whole laser hair removal thing was a bust!” Yes, maybe it lessened my hair growth about 10% but what’s the point of that? I still have to do something about it unless I want to be a hairy beast. So yeah, it’s not a big deal to shave under my arms but having to still pay for and deal with other waxing is kind of frustrating.
I have read super great reviews of laser hair removal results so I suggest you do research and consider the reviews of something with similar hair/skin color and maybe even ethnicity as you.
National Ice Cream Day
Today is National Ice Cream Day! But I’m on the 24 Day Challenge and shouldn’t be indulging too much. (Today is my cheat day, but I am trying to keep it cleaner than usual for the challenge.) So I just went to Yogurtland for a sample of the Maple Donut fro-yo flavor.
Cat Updates…
Vegas did not receive laser hair removal and cannot chime in on the results.
He did not celebrate National Ice Cream day because he slept though it.
I also spent a lot of time walking around the health food store. I really want to be healthy and happy and all natural (except for still shaving my pits, you’re welcome).
July 20th is the official start of the 24 Day Challenge. Let me know if you are participating so I can be sure you get access to the Facebook group for support.

Marshall’s! Browsing for daysssssssssssssss
LHR takes a LOT longer than any business will tell you it does. That’s how they get you. You see some results then you want it over and done so you buy another package. It’s taken way longer than anyone predicted and I’ve got the light skin, dark hair combo everyone raves about. I don’t regret it, just wish I knew exactly what was involved when I got into it. But then I probably wouldn’t have done it…which brings us back to why they don’t tell you how long it “normally” takes.

I celebrated for sure! I bought TJ’s Cookie Butter ice cream and it’s pretty amazing. I could browse Barnes & Noble/Target alllll day. And do it again the next day. I also always manage to spend at least over $40 when I go, though. I shouldn’t be allowed in!

I didn’t have ice cream but my boyfriend did. He had a gingerbread ice cream sandwich at this fancy restaurant we ate at last night. I had panna cotta with berries and creme fraiche.
I love to walk around Target.

I participated on accident….I had a Wendy’s Frosty. My favorite store to wander around is probably TJ Maxx…..there are just so many random things!

I’ve never tried laser hair removal, i’m similar in the super fair skinned fairly fine hair camp. I’ll just keep shaving. (or not shaving, which boyfriend says he doesnt care but… )
and yes! this weekends weather was SO WEIRD. Saturday with the rain (absolutely amazing), sunday with the humidity?! It was 100 up here and then poured and was 74, and then went back up into the 90s, and then poured and was 70 again. Get it together, SoCal.

Laser hair removal did not work for me either. But I have heard that electrolysis actually works! it’s a different process than a laser but I really want to try it and I am just waiting for the right Groupon to appear.

So interesting that laser hair removal didn’t work for you! what a bummer. Well, thanks at least for educating all your readers about it! 🙂 We went to our apt complex pool yesterday and they were handing out free ice cream for ice cream day! woooo!

I love checking it all out at Trader Joe’s. I feel they always have new items! I loved your honest review on the hair removal. I have always wondered if that would be a good investment or not. Thank you!

Me too! I love when they get new seasonal items. I get all excited like a nerd 🙂

I could walk around Target for DAYS at a time if I had to:) Also, I totally had the same experience/thoughts with laser hair removal. I was kind of discouraged with with results but at least I gave it a try and had some hair removed!
Love your blog!!!

You too?! That sucks. Looks like from your bio pic you’re light too, that might be why. I feel like it’s good we’re warning others because I’ve seen a few reviews from people with dark hair that it worked for them.
Thanks for reading 🙂

Love it!!! We had a beach day and stopped by Baskin & Robbins for some ice cream on the way home…I had chocolate peanut butter which was not that great. Better luck next time? When my macros allow it, maybe. 🙂 Love your blog.

Thanks for reading 🙂
I feel like I’m always disappointed with chocolate ice cream. I say go with a vanilla base with chocolate add ins. I’ve put a lot of thought into this.
