Five Fun Friday Fings 2

Uncategorized

20 Apr

Hello and Happy Friday! I stayed up way too late last night and ended up eating half a watermelon and toast with ricotta whipped cottage cheese and jam. I’m moving on from it, but yeah.

1. Anyways, I decided whipped cottage cheese and jam is the jam best! After an easy 3 miler I made French Toast topped with PB, whipped cottage cheese and a dollop of jam. So so good.IMG_9874 (800x533)

I think swapping WCC for regular in my French Toast Cups recipe would be amazing.french toast cups

2. Leave a comment on this post if you want an online copy of Beginner’s Guide to Running. I have 3 to give away. Specify in the comment that you’d like one Smileimage

3. I had the chance to speak with Jesse Brune, LA based trainer and stylist. He teaches 20 spin classes a week. He’s also a rep for SoyJoy. I asked him what is the most important part of teaching a spin class?

Jesse Brune: I teach 20 spin classes a month, 5 days a week. I love it. It’s my moving meditation and one of my favorite things to do in the world.

Music is so so important. I email my  playlist to the students because they love it so much. I will say I’m all over the place as far as songs go. “Like a prayer” is a good one, I probably have five different versions. People go crazy for it!

Jesse Brune (featured on OWN’s new “Home Made Simple”; Bravo TV’s hit show “Work Out”; Food Network’s “Private Chefs of Beverly Hills”).  As a fitness trainer and transformation coach, Jesse knows how important it is to look good, especially while working out

4. Farmer’s Market is today!crucial-produce-buy-confession-ecard-someecards

5. It’s the weekend! I want to run away to a tropical island. curacao

Well, that or stay on my couch watching TV…

I’m off the train a client and it up the Farm Mark. (Yes, that’s what I call it in real life sometimes.)

Question: Any fun plans for the weekend?

*Diclaimer: SoyJoy sent me some bar samples to enjoy after my interview with Jesse.

I would be SO excited to get a copy of that book. I don’t like to consider myself a beginner (I did a 5k last summer), but have had running-related injuries several months ago that have caused me to take a break from running. I dream of running a half marathon, but unfortunately am pretty much stuck starting from scratch with all the time I’ve taken off. This book would help (especially with preventing injury, I hope)!
