This Tastes Like Poison

20 Apr

Hello from my parent’s house! I drove down here (or is it “up” since it’s north?) today to hang out with my brother’s GF Heather. IMG_9887 (800x600)We walked the cows…IMG_9878 (800x600)

I mean, dogs. But doesn’t Bailey look like a cow in this picture?!IMG_9884 (800x600)

This morning I trained one client (Fridays are slow at the gym) and got in my own arms workout after! Go me.

I had some a lot of watermelon with whipped cottage cheese before I drove. Oh, and I found a pack of cashews in my purse that I chomped too.IMG_9875 (600x800)

Packed my lunch because I wasn’t sure what the plan was / where I’d be when I got hungry.IMG_9877 (800x600)

I am very dumb. Hey hey hey, before you nod your head in agreement, listen to why…

I spotted an instant coupon on Celsius drinks at Costco yesterday and figured I’d give them a whirl. I drink Vitawaters all the time so I figured I would drink this instead for a bit.

Supposedly Celsius drinks help you BURN MORE CALORIES – just by drinking them!?!? They are supposed to be a pre-exercise supplement and have green tea extract, Ginger, B-vitamins and Chromium.

I’m a sucker for an easy weight loss trick so I bit. The have 10 calories per can and taste like poison. Yep, poison. But, I’m willing to sacrifice for the cause (or not, since I’m having a hard time getting this one down). I’ll let you know if I magically wake up thinner tomorrow.IMG_9880 (600x800)

Now I’m off to hit up the bank. See ya later!

That sounds awful. I couldn’t force myself to drink something that tasted that bad. The only drink I’ve had that supposedly helped with weight loss was Skinny Water, but at least those taste good!

Awwww your pups are sweet! There’s nothing like walking a dog/ running with a dog to make your day 10 times happier… They’re always SO happy to be out walking and sniffing everything in sight. It’s awesome!

Hi Monica, I emailed you earlier today at your gmail to see if I could still get the group code to register for the lottery for the Nike Womens 1/2 marathon. I have until 11:59 pm pst to register. I know it’s last minute, but any chance you can email me the code? I would love a chance to run in my favorite city with you and your group. Thanks! Nicole C. I bowed out a while back. They had more than enough peeps and since my life is kinda chaotic I didn’t want to add one more thing.

A couple things here… First, those Celsius drinks – My old boss drank them all the time and I tried one once. No energy drinks work on me, even those 5 hour energy shots, which for me should be renamed “5 hour make you have to pee alot” drinks. Celcius actually gave me energy, the whole calorie burn thing I don’t know about, but I definitely got a boost from them. However, those drinks make me feel like my heart is going to stop or something. Oh and secondly, I made my first blog post today! yay! Happy Friday!

At least you can’t fall asleep if you have to keep peeing?

Congrats on the first blog post!

Those Celsius things made me jittery!!! I think I may have lost weight just from the twitch factor!

    And… adorable doggies! 🙂

Aww your parents dog really looks like a cow in that pic because of the angle and the black/white fur. So so cute!

If you wake up 15 pounds skinnier tomorrow, I’m going to run out and stock up on those drinks! Imagine if that’s all it took.. one poison-tasting drink? That would be wonderful.

Maybe it is poison and you’ll throw up for days after you drink one. It would work!

I think since “North” was arbitrarily decided on by white Europeans, then you can call your parents place “down” if you want 🙂

I wish everything was based on elevation instead. For example, I live on the “south hill” area of my city, which is south of the downtown area but up in elevation (obviously… being a hill right). This gets mixed up in my head all the time and even though I’ve lived here for 5 years, I still get my North and South directions mixed up and look like an idiot. All.the.time.

Funny story…DH grabbed a drink that he thought was for energy. Well, he read it and it said it’s to help you sleep (after he chugged it)!! This was today, he ended up taking a nap in the middle of the day! Good thing he is his own boss!
