Friday Favorites–Watermelon Time

Fun· Healthy Living

19 Dec

Hello! How’s it going? Are you ready for the weekend?

I’m having a challenging week with some personal stuff and am trying not to find answers in the kitchen. I’ve definitely distracted myself with food, but no one came out and stopped me – so it’s kinda your fault (or at least I’m going to tell myself that).

HOME ALONE

That reminds me that I have to watch some Christmas movies this weekend!!

santa is coming

FAVORITES from the Week

1. Thank you to everyone who sent me this watermelon time guy. He’s my favorite person of the week:

2. Favorite Comments of the week:

This was via my Facebook page and I have to make this happen:

drinks on me (588x332)

3. 2015 Races! I signed up for three races last night including Camarillo and Seaside Half Marathon. Use discount code REP15 for 20% off!!

*Must register on their site (the links above go to the right place) not Active.com.

shoreline half marathon results running blog 3 (800x600)

4. This “All is Well” sermon by Joel Osteen.

5. My new blue dress. Sure, I’ll probably wear it to stay in and watch Home Alone with my cat, but I am digging blue dresses right now (after a green period of my life). This one is similar but doesn’t have the cool subtle leopard pattern. Maybe I need both.

6. ALL THE HUMMUS. I think I ate a whole container in one day (and then did it again the next day).

And I’m pretty obsessed with my 5 Minute Bean Dip.

Have you tried Roots hummus yet? I’m really loving the mango sriracha and the thai coconut!

ugh yucky personal stuff at the holidays makes it even harder

I actually hurt my other foot this week…it is many shades of color at this point..so really no cardio for me right now.

On top of that my Mr. 7 threw up while he was putting on his shoes this morning, as we were walking out the door. So we didn’t do much of anything today.

Whatever it is there is something better on the other side. I’m old (relatively) so I don’t say this without experience. My best to you!!

I did a 16km run today and it felt good! At the moment, if I get through the first 15 min or so, I’m golden. But that first patch is tough! Today I’m loving summer fruits! I just had a breakfast of half a rockmelon with yoghurt and nuts. YUM!!

I signed up for a race yesterday too. It’s called The Heavenly Half Marathon in Aubery, CA. It’s local for me, a flat course, and give out great goodies. You should check it out!

Today is a rest day although I have been doing a fork lift workout. You know, that’s when you lift the fork to your mouth, in sets. I’m sorta really good at it 😛

Have you tried the pumpkin hummus? I just heard that it existed today. I’m sure that can make your problems float away. Hope you are able to cheer up and have a great weekend!
