Today’s guest post is from the most impressive runner I’ve ever met in person. I met Janae from Hungry Runner Girl this summer and she is ridiculously sweet, funny, cute and FAST! Her marathon PR is 3:04. That’s like real life magic. So, I’m taking notes on this guest post – I need all the help I can get!janae hungry runner girl

1. Where is your favorite place to run?

My favorite place in the whole wide world to run is up Provo canyon (Utah) during the fall.  The trail goes along the river and the mountains that surround you are breathtaking.  Plus, the way back is always fun because it is ALL down hill.

2. What is your favorite thing to eat after you run?

Pizza and pizza with a side of ice cream.  Oh, and how could I forget my beloved chocolate milk…I crave it my whole run.hungry runner girl drinks

3. What is your favorite piece of running gear?

I really don’t remember ever running without my Garmin (maybe I blocked it out of my memory because I can’t imagine life without it again).  It is a huge motivator for me to speed up when I am being lazy or to remind me to slow down on easy days.  Plus, it is fun to see how you improve over time and to see your progress.

4. Name the #1 race you dream of running…

Boston.  I was supposed to run it last year but lame injuries stopped me.  I will get there someday and it will be the best race ever.

5. Which race that you’ve ran is your favorite?

I loved running Top of Utah Marathon.  It was the perfect time of year (Fall in Utah really is incredible), the race was very organized and I just felt good that day…..which probably has a huge reason why I loved that race so much.  Clearly, I looked real good too Winking smilehungry runner girl runs

6. What is your favorite song to run to?

Don’t make fun of me but it has to be anything by Eminem, Linkin Park or a song called ‘All I Ever Wanted’ by Basshunters….the beat is PERFECT for the running cadence I want to hit.IMG_0272 (800x600)

      All those Yogurtland pics makes me want some right now. Frozen yogurt at 9:40 in the morning isn’t bad, is it?
