I consider myself an expert on two things in this world:
1. Being a redheaded Mexican.
B. Sweets.
So, I was shocked to actually learn something about America’s 6th favorite candy*!
When I walked out of Lucille’s BBQ I grabbed a Tootsie Pop from their happy candy Tootsie Roll bucket. They have all flavors and I grabbed a cherry one.
My partner in crime grabbed a Root Beer one. But when he was eating it he told me it was CHOCOLATE. WHAAAAAT?! All this time I thought the brown one was Root Beer but it’s Chocolate. And my life has changed forever.
I also learned something about my cat.
I heard that if you make a circle on the floor a cat will go and sit in it – it’s a cat circle.
I made a circle…
but my cat did not go in said circle. Boo.
In more successful news – this meal is thrown together in 15 minutes thanks to Trader Joe’s. It’s the Kung Pao Chicken and Brown Rice from the frozen section. #winning

I knew they were chocolate and if you haven’t had one, you aren’t missing out. Gross. I’d rather have a root beer one! (though cherry is my favorite)

I knew they were chocolate because it’s the only flavor of Tootsie Pop that I actually like. I used to be sad when we got them in class and teacher ran out before my turn to choose.
I love TJ’s frozen Chinese food. Beef and Broccoli and the Kung Pao Chicken are the best! I am sad the cat thing didn’t work. I saw that too and wanted to try it out. 🙂
I knew it was chocolate but never liked the flavour…probably because it tastes like rootbeer! Also, can I just say I love that you tried to make a cat circle. Is there a purpose to the cat circle? Also love that Vegas was not having any of it.
Ha! There is totally no purpose to the cat circle, just that cats can’t resist it – which is not true.

Yes, I knew the brown tootsie roll pop was chocolate but I can see why you would think it was root beer. That’s usually what flavor hard candies in that color are! It makes sense. You don’t see chocolate hard candy often.

Tootsie roll chocolate flavor always taste fake to me, which is why I avoid both the chocolate flavored tootie pops and the tootsie rolls themselves.

i think somewhere in the back of my mind i knew it was chocolate, but it does taste like root beer. actually, it really does taste a lot like those little root beer barrel candies come to think of it.
I totally knew the brown ones were chocolate because I won’t eat them. They taste as fake chocolatey as the stuff the dentist uses to polish my teeth.
I will never turn down a red one (cherry and now they even have pomegranate)

I had no groceries since going out of town so I made a Costco run. Just bought their chicken and made a salad. Easy, quick, and convenient.

I made chili in the crockpot for dinner tonight. The leftovers will be frozen and put in our 5th wheel for the nine days of hunting my husband will do on Friday.
Yes, I knew the brown Tootsie Pop was chocolate. I hate root beer anything. I blame it on the fact that as a kid we were coming back from a camping trip and I grabbed a warm root beer out of the cooler and then got car sick. The End.
