Lunch Date with Ben

Lunch

17 Aug

Hello! I’m in a great mood because I had a few minutes to squeeze in 3 Zumba dances between clients today Smile They were all new-to-me songs, so I wasn’t rocking it very much, but I did my best!

Before I left for work I had a handful of cashews (3x what is here). I bought the biggest container of them a few days ago and although they’re not the best nut, they’re my favorite. Despite extra health benefits, I’m NOT eating walnuts. No Gracias.IMG_7743 (800x600)

I came home to satisfy my craving for peanut dressing with a side of salad Winking smileIMG_7752 (800x533)

Ben joined me since we’re going to be separated this weekend (when I’m at HLS!) and like to suffocate each other as much as possible before we’re parted. He busted out the chips and hummus…IMG_7756 (533x800)

While I did some damage on the watermelon (read: ate it all and slapped his hand away).IMG_7757 (800x533)

I have a few errands to run before my next 2 clients! See you in a bit!

I have to say that cashews are actually one of my least favorite nuts. Peanuts, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, and even almonds (even though I can’t have them) are yummy 🙂

I have never commented- but i just have to say that i really like to think of my cashew addiction as another place i get my healthy fats. Theyre like butter, yum. Also, my co-op (so maybe a whole foods or something?) has thai- curry cashews and they are the most amazing thing on the planet.
    Ps love your blog!

I FREAKIN LOVE cashews, they are my favourite nut! I buy this trailmix from Costco and it is chocked full of dried cranberries, yogurt chips and cashews; it is the best!

Yay Watermelon!! So this might be an insane TMI kind of question, but do you get digestive issues with all the watermelon you eat? I eat about a quarter to a half a melon a day (I also have a slight obsession with the wonder fruit) and I’ve been feeling all kinds of icky some days. Like bloated and grumbly. I even Googled “side effects of watermelon” to see if I was the only one…and it turns out all sorts of people experience watermelon issues. Any insight on that?!

Sorry this is soooo TMI 🙂

    Cheers!!

I get bloated not grumbly from it sometimes, but only if I eat way too much of it. I think it’s a volume thing not a watermelon thing though because it only happens when I get crazy with it. And that takes a lot.

Love cashews and lunch dates with my husband! Do you know when you’re going to do your Zumba certification? (You were planning to become an instructor, right?)

I don’t care for the walnut either. But my favorites are pecan, then almonds, then the peanut. I go nuts for nuts!

You guys are cute with your togetherness. My husband and I are the same way and our friends tease us all the time because of it. Whatever!

Had slivered almonds on a pasta dish at Italian restaurant last night and it was surprisingly good.

Walnuts aren’t bad with gorgonzola and fresh figs.
