Monday Monthly Goals

Uncategorized

1 Nov

Instead of Monday Mini-Goals I’m doing my November Goals:

1. Intuitive Eating – only eat when hungry, pay closer attention to fullness and night time eating

2. Get 8 hours of sleep (this helps with #1 soooo much)

3. Jillian’s 30 Day Shred Challenge

4. Get organized: Bills, Blog, Personal – all of it will be organized by Nov. 3oth!

5. No gum. This might be the one that kills me.

This morning started off with a small bowl of cereal and a 5.8 mile run. Then, I tried a packet of the infamous Jay Robb’s protein powder. IMG_3041

It made my smoothie a little clumpy (which I hate) but the flavor was dee-lish. IMG_3038

Plus PB&PB toast on the side 🙂IMG_3037

Ben put our new bed together this weekend. We didn’t move our super old bed from MD to CA so we were completely without. Now all we need is a mattress. And sheets. And a nightstand…IMG_3039 Today is Mexican Meatless Monday and I have a super fun recipe planned!

See ya later 🙂

Question: What are your November or Monday Mini-Goals?

My monthly goals could be pretty similar to yours! Gum drives my stomach CRAZY but I always crave it! I definitely don’t eat well when I’m tired (this is especially bad when I’m travelling on weekends, etc), and I need to do my Shred more for strength training!

    Good luck!

I gave up gum! And I used to chew it all.the.time.

You can do it. Once you get over the hump, you won’t even want it anymore. Hmmm – my goals are all about time management and productivity. (As I sit here reading and commenting on blogs.)

I know you didn’t ask for help, but if you need help organizing bills, I find mint.com a breeze to use. And from there I know what “extra” cash I have and automate transfers across checking into savings 🙂 easy peasy! I also know when checks are deposited into my account so it makes it easy to schedule auto payments.

If you have non consistent income then mint is GREAT for tracking.

I also keep a “green” calendar in google where all my “green” events are related to finances, so I have little notes on my calendar that show when the “closing date of credit card” is, when each paycheck is due to come in, gas, elec, cell, cable/internet, water, credit card payment due. I write the amounts in too for instance

    David Pay: $x,xxx.oo
    CC close date
    Wash Gas: $
    Amex: $

I try to put the bill due dates about 3 days from their actual due date so that I’m not late – sometimes elec needs 3 days prior to due date etc.

I hope this helps! I can send screen shots if you need more hlep 🙂 let me know.

When he feels like it. Lately he hasn’t been. If the cat was my dog – then the answer is NO. Dogs are not allowed in bed.

The first of the month is always so exciting. I feel like I am starting over again. I love reading everyone’s goal. My goals are pretty similar… I love sleep, and every part of my life is better when I get my 8 hours in!

I absolutely agree that #2 makes such a difference in #1! SO true. I suppose a new bed helps with #2 also 😉

    No gum? How come? 🙂

My main goal this month is to incorporate “group exercise classes” into my routine-my group might consist of just me, my husband, and my dog. That still counts, right?!?!?!

Good luck with your goals…you can do anything you set your mind to.

No gum – that’s a toughie! My goal is to get back to a regular workout schedule. I’ve been a bit lost without my training plan.

Hey, the frame is a start! 🙂 omg I went w/o gum for like two weeks once…and it was so hard! I am seriously addicted. My two goals for the month are (1) track my spending..so I can learn to budget!! and (2) NO candy. This means candy bars too, but I can still have other desserts…I’ve just noticed this huge desire for candy lately…and that needs to be put to a halt…we’ll see how long that lasts!

    Good luck with your goals!!

I used to be a gum addict, but I started reacting really badly to fake sugars. I haven’t had a single piece of gum since March and, surprisingly, I don’t really miss it at all!

I do carry around toothpaste and a toothbrush in my purse now, though. 😉

I need to quit chewing so much gum too! It’s expensive! Tell me if you have any tricks or tips for that! I think my biggest goal this month is to do strength training three times a week and yoga twice a week.

Great goals! sleep is one of my number one goals especially because it helps me eat healthier, be less bitchy and focus during the day. I just need more hours in the day!

Ugh, I cut back the gum habit earlier this year. It’s a lot easier now….famous last words.

Where did you get your bed frame, I love the super clean design.

I really like the flavor of the Jay Robb protein powder. My favorite is the pina colada or something like that. It’s very tropical!

Because I’m chewing a pack a day at this point and it’s ridiculous. I say I’m going to cut back, but then another pack is gone in a few hours and I’m like, “Shit”.

You’re a strong woman for attempting 30 days with Killer Jillian!!

I love making mini-goals too. They seem so much more achievable.
