My Little Cottage

Breakfast· Marathon

18 Nov

I don’t know what happened but I hadn’t eaten cottage cheese in months and then recently “rediscovered” it and now want to eat it for breakfast everyday! I’m going to switch it up tomorrow since I’m doing vegan Thursday tomorrow as part of Vegan Week. Yes, I know it’s supposed to be a whole week, but I don’t think that’s best for my Intuitive Eating right now.

Marathon Training: 8 miles in 1:13:08 I actually felt super tired for most of it. I didn’t pay attention to my time as I was running, but knew I was going slow and didn’t want to dwell on it. When I got back I had half a banana with PB.

Before I left I used MapMyRun to check out how far I should go. I don’t use this site enough!

Today I made a cereal bowl with cottage cheese, banana, pineapple, trail mix and soy milk (added after picture). IMG_2488

I am obsessed with this new trail mix – I better portion control from now on! I think I put on half a cup today. IMG_2489

This is the Amazing Grass I’ve been taking – Greens Super Food in Berry. I drink it straight up with water. It’s thick and grainy toward the end, which is gross, but I don’t think it’s bad besides that 🙂IMG_2490

See ya later gators 🙂

That trail mix breakfast looks delicious. I’d be tempted to put away two of those bowls.
I love the amazing grass bars but have yet to try the mixes. I’ve heard you’re supposed to put them in milk? I might try almond milk to see how that goes

I am amazed at your running ability. I am just getting into the running and seem very interested in it. I am going to follow the couch to 10K plan so I have a little direction. If you have any tips you wouldn’t mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it.

Ugh, Rick loves that flavor of Amazing Grass, but I can’t stand it. It tastes like wet dirt to me. I can drink it if I mix it in with the rest of my green smoothie ingredients though. If ya stick a banana in anything, it’ll taste good IMO!

Cottage cheese is so good, especially whipped. You have to try it, Friendship 1% whipped cottage cheese. Once I went whipped I never looked back.

I’d be happy with that running time, that’s way faster than I can go that’s for sure! I like gmaps-pedometer better than map my run, less adds and less clicking.

great run! sometimes i just need to ignore the time too because in reality all that matters in how you feel in the moment of the run

I am new to your blog, but love it! Having gone through eating disorders myself, my ED therapist suggested I try intuitive eating. I bought the book and liked it but can’t seem to get past the calorie counting. I am assuming since you do intuitive eating you don’t count calories….have you found this helpful to shake the binges, thoughts, etc? Have you lost weight with this? I love coming here and reading everyday!

      Thanks for the tip!
I put it in a green monster last time. I think the grittiness of it was what was off putting for me more than the actual flavor. Maybe I need to dissolve it in a liquid first. Definitely will try juice!
