Happy lil day kids! How’s it going over there?

Yesterday I had a few conference calls and deadline for a blog post so after being glued to my desk all day I was super ready to get out of the house for a little bit. Of course I opted to hit up Marshall’s to see if I could score any cute deals because the donut shop was closed.

I fell in love with this fun “I Hate Running But Love French Fries” tank, but it’s too small. Boo.

I figured I’d just buy it online but I cannot find it. My degree in Google-ology has really failed me.

There are straight up “I Hate Running” tanks, but I feel like the french fries are an integral part of the message.

Ha! And I thought this “I HATE running out of COFEE” tank was fun.

I’m still going to be on the hunt for the OG tank! Stay tuned.

Randomly last night I wanted a little treat. I didn’t have anything good in my house so I baked up a little muffin surprise. The surprise is that they actually came out good!

Oatmeal Muffin “Recipe” I made up: 2 packets of Chex maple brown sugar oatmeal, 1 container vanilla greek yogurt, 1 egg, dash baking powder. Mix. Pour into greased baking cups. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes or until set.

The random things I threw in a bowl ‘recipe’ made 6 small muffins. And I ate them. They were super moist and could have probably used some raisins or something to dry them up without making them too dense.

The only thing missing was a big dollop of PB as frosting!

    I am running the Carlsbad Half Marathon. Since I know I won’t be getting a PR I decided to enjoy my weekend in SD and hit up some happy hours today! Nothing makes me happier than a tangy alcoholic drink 🙂

    Ive been on my workout game this week, so it will prob be a relaxing weekend. It is supposed to be in the high 30s this weekend in Chicago, so I will prob explore the warmth and the city with a long walk. That and watch the Packers bc they are the best 🙂

    My friend who is an amazing baker is coming over Saturday night with homemade SLUTTY BROWNIES! They’re the best dessert in the world!!! We’re gonna chat it up and have some wine and pizza too. Sunday I’ll attempt a long run of 8 miles if my failing body pulls itself together. And then I’m going to a birthday party with my boyfriend for some of his relatives.

    WEEKEND TIME! I just moved (temporarily) to Huntsville, Alabama… So hopefully I can get out and do some trail running out here and explore the Space museum. NASA FTW!

    weekend agenda: visiting the boyf/fam/friends upstate (in NY), going to see the boyf’s band, running, getting hair done, and sleeping. lots of sleeping.

    I love picking the muffin top off of muffins and eating them. I just don’t want a muffin top on myself, but they say you are what you eat. 😀 in that case ill devour a VS model

    Hopefully I will be running – I did something (I have no idea what) to my ankle earlier this week and it did NOT want to run yesterday. Plus I will be hanging out with the boyfriend – I haven’t seen him much this week because he’s back at work.

    I work this weekend. And Monday. No holiday long weekend for me. I plan to go see Unbroken (finally!) tonight, do a mid-distance run tomorrow and then relax before I work. Have a great weekend!
