My Parents are trying to kill me

After last night’s buffet extravaganza I thought I was going to burst! This morning my dad suggested the Holiday Inn buffet for breakfast. (On the plus side, it’s actually a very low priced buffet.)

Yes, two meals in a row were buffets! My parents are trying to kill me. My mom jokingly said I’m not going to want them to visit anymore after we’ve been eating out so much!

But, I made healthy decisions and enjoyed goodies in moderation 🙂 I had an omelet (made with egg beaters) from the omelet bar with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and peppers. The chef added cheese even though I didn’t ask for it, but I didn’t want to make a fuss. I had some potatoes on the side and a lot of fruit too.DSCN0874

DSCN0871I shared this piece of French Toast with Ben and reluctantly decided that I could have either French Toast OR a Waffle. Since no waffles were ready when I was filling up my plate I went with this. Unpictured: half a piece of toast with jam and a little juice.

DSCN0876After brunch my mom and I did a little shopping and then hung out before heading to Costco for my weekly trip. Lunch was basically samples, including an ice cream sample!

and now I’m snacking on fruit. DSCN0884

I bought the BIGGEST can of chickpeas for $2.75. Expect to see a lot of these in the coming week!DSCN0892

Sundays are rest days so I went for a walk and did 3 sets of strength moves I know by heart 🙂

Oh my that’s a lot of Chickpeas. I expect to see lots of combinations of them this week in your food. That’s good for me because I love chickpeas but don’t use them often enough. I miss them from Spain because they were EVERYWHERE!
