Nourish What Counts Giveaway

Happy Tuesday! Let’s back up to yesterday…

I had an evening shift at work so I ate dinner before. I made a massive egg scramble and roasted veggies. My afternoon snack was a piece of toast with PB so I opted out of bread in this meal. It’s a miracle.IMG_5801

I also baked some pumpkin protein bars that were inspired by Jamie Eason’s recipe. I don’t think I’ve ever followed a recipe now that I think about it…IMG_5807

Ben actually liked them! (In hindsight I’m not too happy about this because I wanted them all for myself.)pumpkin protein bars

When I got home from work I had some yogurt and cereal. We have ice cream in the freezer and I had this –> today is full of miracles!IMG_5805

Then, I stayed up too late watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion. I can’t get enough of that train wreck. And why is everyone so freakin’ mean to each other?!

This morning I caught up on emails while nursing my drink…IMG_5812 (533x800) (533x800)

And 5.75 miles later I had more eggs. IMG_5816 (800x533) (800x533)

I’m sure I’ll turn into an egg soon. I just hope it’s a Cadbury Crème egg Winking smile

I forgot to draw a winner for the Orville Snack Pack! (Check out the comments for a ton of great snack ideas!!)

The winner is: Jessica: jessicaterry2@ email

What counts is a strong body, so I nourish mine with healthy foods and challenging workouts! I haven’t tried heart shaped cereal, so I can only assume it tastes better than O’s. I will probably wear pink on Valentine’s Day, because I have more pink clothing than red.

Well obviously heart-shaped cereal is the best! 🙂 I’ll probably wear either red of pink on Valentine’s Day. Since I’m on the company culture committee and we’ll be decorating for V-Day I might as well get into the full spirit of it!

Sleep, H2O, and vitamins…also some regular cardio thrown in here and there. I would say, especially strung on a string around your neck so you look festive for V Day and you have a snack in proximity at at all times. and sometimes.

Anything tastes better when its in a fun shape! For example, at Christmas, my boyfriend made my eggs in a basket with a Christmas tree cookie cutter. It was awesome. Hopefully I’ll get some valentines eggs in a basket with the heart cookie cutter 🙂

I nourish what counts by being sure to put these things first. Like my relationship with my husband, some days it is more difficult to be purposefully vulnerable and transparent and kind, but that doesn’t give me any excuse, so i need to make every effort to nourish even if that day he doesn’t.
