Puppies and Pork Chops

My Life

26 Aug

Hello! How’s it going? I just spent some quality time with my lil familia. I headed down here to check on the dogs and see everyone since I was out of town this weekend and missing them. Awwwww.

i love him (800x450)

After I was done with a few blog projects and emails I decided to get dinner started for them since my mom and dad were still working. My mom was thawing pork chops so I just went with it. I found a box of seasoning and baked them up. Since she wasn’t home yet to ask I just decided to make roasted cauliflower and mac & cheese with it. Plus a pretty awesome salad. I’m happy that everyone was really grateful for this meal.

I had my little brother help me with a few things and tried to talk him through how I was doing some of the steps. Yeah, I think he’ll stick to PB&J for now.  Related: I also think he’s not super into becoming a pro photographer…

I am not a real meat person (I’d skip red meat and pork 83% of the time just outta preference) but I can read directions and sometimes I even have the self discipline to follow them exactly! I’m very proud the chops came out so great. I took a bite to admire my handiwork. Good job Monican!

When I got back I couldn’t find Vegas anywhere! I figured he ran away to a  better house like he always threatens he will.

Bye kid.

So I went to read a book to distract me from missing him.

(Most of those books are Ben’s but two of note are Tina’s Smoothie Book and Feeding the Hungry Heart <- one of my favorites about compulsive eating.)

And now I really do need to unpack! I keep just taking one item from my suitcase at a time. Ha!

I got a scratchy throat this weekend after staying up way past my bed time and trying to shout “stop spilling your vodka on me!” to my best friend over the music.

So I’m sipping some Zarbee’s immune booster drink to fend off the germs. I have a few of their drink mixes to try so I’ll follow up on this soon.

Question: What did you have for dinner last night?

What’s on the menu for tonight?

Too lazy and tired to cook last night, so I went Matt style and had PB sandwich.

hahah my cat does that! we couldn’t find him for a while, when we first got him… he was under a blanket, behind a cushion, under the couch cushion. Very very hidden haha. And I can NOT cook. Maybe mac and cheese, but thats about it. I usually skip meat too! unless my boyfriend makes it for me.

I had some sautéed string beans and then heated up a frozen lean cuisine pizza followed by 7 bakery cookies.
Tonight is either order in or dig really far back in the freezer for mystery meals. 🙁
