The best thing I did was going to a White Elephant Christmas party at my friends house! It was so much fun and I even met some new friends there!

My local yoga studio had free classes for their anniversary (went to 2 of those and feeling it today!) and made some spiced whipped cream, which has upped my hot drink consumption about 20-fold. AND this unemployed girl got a paycheck for some contract work and put up the Christmas tree (not necessarily related)– awesome weekend all around!
I did have to sacrifice my run to pack it all in, but good thing about being unemployed– plenty of time to make it up today!

I hiked with my boyfriend today. It was a super day. And the brick oven margherita pizza I had post hike was pretty darn delish!

The best thing I did was unpack all the boxes from moving into our new place on Friday. We have some contractors coming to fine tune things but getting everything out and put away was a miracle.

We did our first triathlon last year, but instead of swimming (because… I would drown), it was canoeing. 5-mile canoe, 5-mile run, and 17-mile ride. I haven’t had that much fun at a race in years! And the training was enjoyable, too!

A duathlon sounds perfect for me. I don’t like swimming so much so I never really considered a triathlon. I love biking though! You should totally do it and fill us in!
The most delicious thing I have eaten so far this weekend is a yummy homemade date square. I always make them at Christmas time and they are so good!

Those races you posted are so close to where I’m from…sometimes I miss being in CA! Beautiful places to run! I think the best thing I ate this weekend was some browned butter butterscotch bars that we made for the holidays….omg so good 😉
