It’s raining here!?!?!!! Where am I?

Boo.

But at the same time “YAH!!!” since SoCal is in a major drought. It’s a good thing! Just drive safely peeps!!

I headed outside for a run in the rain this morning. I felt so hardcore, but I’m sure my neighbors thought I was crazy. We consider this a MAJOR weather crisis. Streets are flooded all over the place because the ground isn’t used to soaking up water.

Then, I headed out for a little holiday shopping. But not for gifts – for holiday half marathons! I’m running one (maybe two) Holiday / Christmas themed races this year and needed some gear.

the best gifts under 25 2 (450x800)

I somehow managed to spend $25.00 at the 99 Cent store. I don’t know. Anyway. I found a hat and some other goodies for the holidays/life.

santa knows

And now that I spent all my Christmas money on myself I created a list of some budget friendly gift ideas for the fitness lover in your life (in case you did the same).

Here’s a list of some of the best fitness gifts for under 25 bucks. Some of these are things they might already have but need replacing (see: anything that stinks).

Best Gifts for Fitness Lovers Under $25.00

Treadmill dancing lessons. (I can’t confirm if this guy gives lessons for under 25 dollars or if he gives them at all, but it’s a good idea none-the-less.)

working out fun

Non-slip headband – Sweaty Bands are a fan favorite and come in a bunch of colors. These polka dot ones are my favorite.

sweaty bands

Nuun Hydration Tabs. I sip these all the time and add them to my iced tea.

Flip flops so they don’t get the foot herpes in the gym showers. (And then bring it home and you get it too.)

nodes 2

Workout socks – I go through socks fast so I always welcome new ones. Here’s some low socks for women and low socks for men. (Seriously I don’t know how or why I get holes in these so quickly but I already need more.)

A pile of workout magazines or a subscription to Fitness magazine or something similar.

Pro Tip: One year I got a gift bag with workout magazines and lip gloss and girly stuff that I loved!

Deodorant Body spray because working out makes you stink.

Body spray for guys = Very Sexy for him travel size.

you smell funny mean girls 2[3]

Run Now Wine Later or Drop It Like a Squat or another fun tank.

Gym bag so they stop using a reusable grocery bag. (That one is 22.50, but I’d probably go for a slightly higher price point on this one so it’s quality.)

new gym bag

Earphones because sweaty earwax is gross. <- I’m almost regretful I am mentioning it.

I feel like most people like this kind of bean ones, but I don’t like this shape.

ear phones workout gifts

Weight lifting gloves because you want your peeps to be legit. Here’s a pair for girls and here’s some gloves for guys.

Emergen-C because gyms have germs.

Foam roller. <- This is a great idea if you don’t really like them because it hurts to use.

hate this

Dry Shampoo because those sweat sessions leave you with greasy hair and that’s no bueno. Keeping one in your bathroom and one in your gym bag makes like easier and your hair looking less greasier.

Food. Because working out makes you hungry.

i love eating

Question: Are you done with your holiday shopping?

Have you started?

Do you believe in Santa??

Do jars of nut butters qualify as “appropriate” Xmas gifts? 🙂 Ok, that’s on my wish list! Hey, I’m a simple gal.

I LOVE SweatyBands– they are the ONLY running headbands that work for me, which was a tough trial and error learning session for me. I’m now the proud owner of 2 SweatyBands that I wear 90% of the time and 10 random other running headbands and I wear every once and a while and always regret.

Hey now, don’t hate on the reusable plastic Walmart gym bag. The Clampets worked really hard to make that a statement, and I’m doing my darndest to keep it alive.

I havent even started shopping. My husband and I have had a crazy last month with moving halfway across the country, living in temp housing, and just moving into our permanent place. We just discovered that there is no wiring for cable/internet and all the hallway shelves ripped out of the wall. Whoa.

Hi Monica! How funny you put Dry Shampoo on there, because I was thinking as I was scrolling down that a few bottles of Dry Shampoo make a good gift. hahaha. And yes, my shopping is done. We had a lot of rain in the Bay Area this week as well, but it looks dry today. Hope you have a good weekend!

I feel like I was a little late to the dry shampoo party, but it’s the greatest thing!

    I don’t believe in Santa.
I bought everything except for a small gift for my dog walker and a host gift for my boyfriends cousin who’s hosting Xmas dinner.
I kept gifts to a minimum this year spending more for underprivileged kids and toy drives. My family is cool like that. 🙂
